I stood on my toes, attempting to reach for something on the third shelf. Sadly, my frame was small, so I couldn't exactly reach it. I glanced around the storage room and spotted a box. I smiled and dragged it to where I stood. I quickly checked to see if it was sturdy to stand on before placing my weight on it.

"Need help?"

I felt a shadow where I was looking and turned around. I gaped as Captain Levi stood above me, reaching a hand to the book another cadet put up there. I gulped and looked down.

"No thank you, Corporal."

He made a sound of irritation and reached a hand towards the shelf. "What is it you are trying to get?"

I blushed and said, "The book that's up there."

He looked and read, "(Y/F/Book)?"

I nodded and he pulled it off the shelf. He held it just above my head, making me jump to grab it. But as I jumped, my foot slipped and I tumbled towards the floor. Coporal Levi quickly put himself between the floor and my body, pulling me into his arms.

I opened my eyes and found myself straddling him. I gasped and blushed as he stared at me. "Ah-I'm so sorry, Captain!"

"It's okay."

I let out a breath and smiled. I rested my head on his collarbone and said, "No, it's not. I caused you to fall, it's my fault."

He let out a sigh and wrapped his arms around me, placing my book down beside us.

"(Y/F/N), are you talking about more than making me fall?"

My breath hitched as I stared at his chest. I thought about it and tried not to cry. I finally got a grip of myself and stopped my tears. I don't need to cry, I just need to talk. I nodded and mumbled, "Yeah."

He squeazed me and said, "I know how you feel."

I looked up at him as he stared at the ceiling. He swallowed and explained, no emotion in his voice. "I feel that it's my fault my squad died. If I had made sure I stayed with them, maybe they would have survived. I don't know. All I know is that because I never expected this to be the outcome, I can't regret my decisions."

I saw the pain in his eyes and jumped towards him. He lied flat on his back as I wrapped my arms around his neck. He didn't move, and I cried for him. "Please, don't regret it. You'll only find yourself constantly looking backwards and you won't be able to see what's right in front of you. You'll only see it once it's gone!"

He was silent after my words that I hoped would comfort him. He squeezed me tightly and whispered, "What's right in front of me, huh?"

I widened my eyes and looked at him. I stuttered, "I-I didn't m-mean like that! I-ai just meant-"

He pressed his lips to mine, cutting me off sweetly. I closed my eyes, beginning to fall under his spell. I suppose to see what is right in front of you, you have to open your own eyes. Sometimes, someone else has to open then for you. This kiss, the soft muscles that are pressed against my own, is what is needed to open my own eyes. The pink strongholds had to force my eyes open to show me that he cares, and that he has something here for me.

My superior, his delicate tongue traced against my bottom lips, carefully asking for my permission.

The concept was quite funny, I thought as I allowed him entrance. A man who is older and more ahead in rank than I am, is asking for my permission. Lance Corporal is asking his Cadet for a kiss. I parted my soft lips, granting his request, and felt his tongue tickle against the roof of my mouth.

I placed two fingers under his chin and pulled myself up so we were more eye-to-eye. I felt a his thumb slip under my straps that wrap around my waist. He softly pulled away, making sure to allow me to breath. I was breathless while he sat there completely fine. I opened my eyes to find him staring up at me with his grey eyes.

I smiled sheepishly and he traced his lips to kiss my chin.

"You are what's right in front of me."

I gulped and attempted to flirt back, "You are in front of me as well, Corporal."

He kissed the front of my neck and whispered, "Levi."

My breath hitched as I repeated his name. "Levi."

He sucked on my neck and whispered, "You're future orders are to stay by my side and allow me to claim you as my own. Do you accept these terms, Cadet (Y/F/N)?"

I shivered and noddd, "I accept, Levi."
