The Repercussions

After making love and a teasing game, both were relaxing, looking out of the window from which cool and humid wind blew.

A notification popped on Haseena's phone, followed by some more beeps. She extended her hand towards the bed-side table.

Haseena played a video which shocked them to core. It was from the place where they had coffee an hour ago.

HM- ye kaise ho sakta hai Anubhav...Agar ye humara peecha yaha kar raha tha toh iska matlab isne humme uss shop pe ghuste hue bhi dekha hoga (worriedly)

Anubhav scrolled down and read the message,

Haseena quickly grabbed her top and rushed down to have a check on her mothers. Anubhav closed his eyes trying to recall things. He called someone explaining the things and changed his expressions from worry to normal to handle his wife.

When Haseena entered he asked,

AS- so rahe hai na araamse Maa aur Ammi? Ye sirf usne humme darane ke liya aur khuch nahi humme yakin hai usne humme chori karte nahi dekha hoga...humari coffee pine wali jagha ka bhi usse humare Facebook post se pata chala hoga.

HM- aapne Facebook pe humari photo daali?

AS- Haan. Woh hum dono ki selfie...uske kaafi der baad tak hum wahi the toh uss Dharampal ka koi aadmi waha aagaya hoga.

She sat next to him. Her head was still creased with worry.

AS- bahout raat ho gayi hai Haseena. Pure din aapne aur team ne kaam kiya. Kal subha sochenge iss bare mein.

He craddled her face gently and caressed her face with his thumb, "subh ratri priye..."

Next Day in Thana,

Anubhav had given the cloned computer and security software to Santosh, to retrieve a CCTV footage. It was 12 p.m. and Cheetah had not reported for the duty still. She was glancing at door periodically, worried for him, given the seriousness of the case. His phone was off too. Anubhav noticed.

AS- ek baat hum aaplogo ko batana bhul gaye...Cheeta khuch din thane nahi ayega.

AS- Mahashay ki tabiyat asahaj hai. Aur SI KS aur PJ, subha thane ka telephone baje jaa raha tha lekin aap dono Lalla Ke lalla ke vishay me vyasth thi. Phir usne Haseena Ji ka durbhash lagaya jo humne uthaya tha ( he looks at Haseena in the end of his sentence )

SS- Zyada problem hai kya usse sir? kal raat bhi uski tabiyat sahi nahi thi...

AS- Nahi Santosh, usse aam netrashleshamkalashoth hua hai... (he said in flow without realizing the word he used)

KS- Kaa?

PJ - hey...shivji, ye konsi beemari paal li cheete ne...

SS- kitni bemaariya hain ye (almost crying)

Billu- netr se shuru hua hai...kahi aankhe toh nahi chaligayi?

HM- Anubhav abhi toh shudh hindi ko peeche chodke boliye...ye toh humme bhi nahi samjh aa raha hai

AS- shama chahte hai...woh hum case ke bare me soch rahe the, samjh nahi aaya kya shabd ka prayog kar liya... chinta ke baat nahi hai. Cheeta ko conjunctivitis hua hai.

All hit their head with palms. Santosh sighed in relief. Haseena glared at him.
