"You know you are yet to choose where you want to work" he said as I dropped the spoon staring at him in confusion,
"Uh?" I asked expecting him to explain further
"You see, I have about fifty restaurants here in this country and if you want to work with me you have to choose one of them and it has to be close to me" he explained
"Ou" I said nodding my head in realization, he brought his phone out of his pockets showing me various pictures of his restaurants and my eyes lingered on one of the pictures, I preferred it because not as extravagant as others, being in a place full of powerful people made me feel uncomfortable and I dont want that, I also dont want to be in a situation where I would have to kick some crazy bitches asses.
I wanted a place where I can work comfortable without having to act to please anyone.
"This looks good" I said pointing at it
"Nope, that's too far away from me" he deadpanned
"Since you know all of them, how about you tell me what to choose?" I asked because I think it's the best option, he knew the location of each of them so he should know the most suitable place for me.
"Do you like this?" he asked, it was beautiful but by the looks it was kind of extravagant,
"Miguel, what if I want to work here?" I asked looking around, it was okay, I'm not saying it was not extravagant but compared to the others it was okay for me
"That sounds great" he smiled "When do you want to start working?"
"Tomorrow, I guess" I shrugged
The thought that I was dating Miguel made me happy but the thought that I was dating one of the most dangerous men on earth felt uneasy in away .
"Miguel, don't you thing we should get to know each other more like I need to start knowing you cause it's a little unfair, you know a lot of things about me and I know nothing about you " I suggested cause to be sincere I felt like I was living with a stranger, I know he knew things about me, I also expected him to do a background check on me so I'm not surprised and I on the other side don't know a single thing about him, and I'm ready to change that
"What do you want to know?" he sighed
"Everything"
"Okay but I dont have much to say, I grew up happily with my parents which were so in love with each other , they did everything they could to make us happy and made sure we had a comfortable life, I also had a crazy sister called Alcione and acrazy brother called Rodrigo they were twins and nothing is more important to them than pranking people, it was actually fun I miss them a lot" he said, looking at him you'll know he was truly happy with is family.
"I expected your parents to be like all these rich people that only cared about money" I voiced out my opinion
"I know, everybody does" he said smiling at something he must have remembered
"I guess you love your family so much" I said with a sad smile, I wish I got to live with my parents this long.
"I do, but the idea of my dad forcing me to marry someone I don't love is making me fell like he would change to a bad person" he said thinking
"It's going to be okay, you just have to explain to him why you can't marry her" I said grabbing his hands in a soothing manner, I felt happy the way he shared his thought with me, it made me fell so important.
"If it is not Andreia and her new boyfriend ' someone said as we both looked up ,I stared as Harry smirked at me
(The guy that wanted to date her in the beginning)
"And if it's not the annoying Harry and his new annoyance" I smirked back at him, he chuckled evilly and glanced at me
"You think I was going to let you go easily never, how can I do that to my only true love" he said faking sadness he trailed his hands from my cheeks down to my jaw and I felt so disgusted
"Keep your filthy my hands to yourself or-"
"Or else what? you're going to kill me? he chuckled "Go ahead, kill me, let's see how you are going to find your little brother" he said and I stiffened, how did he know about my missing brother? the confusion was becoming much,
First it was someone trying to kill me saying his boss has my brother and now it's Harry popping out of nowhere saying something about my brother,
"What do you know about my brother?" I asked annoyed, I was concerned but I would not let him see that
"Won't you at least invite me to join your romantic date?" he said with a smirk staring at the both of us.
"Go ahead, have a sit and start talking, what do you know about my brother?" I asked again, he ignored me and called a waitress over, he ordered for coffee and a chocolate bagel annoying the crap out me.
All this time Miguel was quite typing away on his phone, I didn't know what he was doing but I had a feeling it had to do with this, he stared up at me with a calm look, I wonder how he could be so calm like this,
I knew Miguel was so calm and collected but it's my brother we are talking about, he stared at the door and then back at me, he nodded his head as if telling me everything was fine.
I looked at the door and was shocked when I saw a lot of men in black surrounding the restaurant, they were a lot of them, I would have been scared if I didn't know they were his men.
"It's like your boyfriend suddenly became dumb or was he always dumb?" he mocked as Miguel titled his head looking up from his phone,
"Don't you think it's so stupid of you to come into my territory and threaten what I own? let's not forget about talking to me in a rude way" he said looking as calm as ever "You know what? I forgive you I can't have myself deal with kids" he said and I swallowed back a laugh
Harry fumed with anger as his knuckles tuned white, he grabbed the coffee cup tightly until it shattered into pieces
"You are going to pay for that" Miguel said without looking up from his phone,
"Just wait, I'll have you wrapped around my fingers, wait for me angel, I'll come for you"
That all it took to change Miguel's calm face, he grabbed Harry by his neck chocking him hardly,
"The only reason I haven't snapped this useless neck of yours is because I need something from you or else you'd be six foot underground" he whispered dangerously
