"Starting with a victory!" Max exclaimed, jumping up and down in excitement.

"It's a good start," Paul smiled in a calmer way than Max, but I still noticed how his shoulders relaxed and his posture lost most of his tension.

"Excellent start Ash!" Lucian praised Ash with a smile, as he returned his Mr. Mime. Ash blushed in return, making Gary grumble some more and Lance laugh about 'how adorable his little brother was'. "But we are only just starting! Bronzong, Flash Cannon!"

They must have totally practiced that, because as soon as Bronzong had come out they released a powerfull Flash Cannon that had Sylveon flyingn various yards back. "How is he still standing?" Paul asked surpised. "Sylveon is not built to take hits, especially those that are super effective against him."

"Mr. Mime was not the only one that had casted a Light Screen," Lucario answered for us, as our eyes flashed blue with aura power. "He simply did it silently. That saved him."

You've got to love aura sight, I commented internally. It allows you to see through almost anything.

However, it did not save him from everything. As soon as Sylveon tried to get back up, he was caught from beneath by Grass Knot and finished off with a Gyro Ball. I watched Ash returned his first pokemon with dissapointment. I can see that things are getting more diffcult again... but this is nothing Ash can't handle!

"Espeon, doo your best Your Majesty!" Ash released his second pokemon.

"Now it is a psychic battle," Reggie commented in a whisper.

"Trick Room!" Ash commanded.

"That will deal with Bronzong's speed!" Misty cheered. "No longer getting knocked out by a Gyro Ball!"

"I never thought that I would see Ash use a move like Trick Room," Brock chuckled. "He used to relay to much on damage dealing moves."

"Not anymore," Reggie replied, as Espeon used Detect to dodge Bronzong's Heavy Slam and retaliate with a Iron Tail and Shadow Ball combo.

It was similar to the Electro Ball-Iron Tail trick Dawn had used with Pachirisu in the Wallace Cup, I mused to myself.

"Why is it that he is not a coordinator too?!" Champion Wallace lamented behind us, I could tell he was pouting too by his tone of voice.

"Bronzong, Gyro Ball again!" Lucian ordered his pokemon. However, it was too slow because of Trick Room and got stopped by a Psychic from Espeon. Bronzong got finished by a Future Sight. Elite Four Lucian sighed as he returned his pokemon and took out his third. "This will be an Espeon battle now!"

"Not again!" Dawn moaned, hidding her face on Piplup, as we chuckled. "There are thousand of pokemon out there! Why is Ash battling so many with the same as his?!"

"Ash has a lot of pokemon," Reggie explained with a smile, moving to lean on me- I wrapped an arm around his shoulder, ignoring Paul's grumbling.

The next battle was a statement of Ash's training and Espeon's strength, the way Her Majesty kept Lucian's Espeon's pace was marvelous. Especially, after Espeon had battled Bronzong before. Quick Attack vs Quick Attack, Iron Tail clashing against Iron Tail, Zen Headbutt metting Zen Headbutt, it was when they began using special attacks that things began to differentiate. At least with the use of moves, speed and power was still pretty equal. Her Majesty usedd Psybeam to dissolve Espeon's Shadow Ball, then got her Psychic Fangs blocked by Espeon's Dazzling Gleam. At the end, it was a double knockout by the use of Future Sight. It was scary to watch two small and cute pokemon like Espeon use Future Sight and leave huge craters on the battlefield.
