I hold my head up high
I refuse to let you see
That looking at you is causing pain
And only hurting me
So badly I want to look down
I want to break down and cry
I can't bring myself to do it
So I hold my head up high
I make myself look happy
I don't want you to know
How bad I'm hurting inside
I won't let it show
I'm trying to be strong
And when you walk by
I suck in my breath and smile
With my head held up high
