He stands by her side
She pretends she doesn't know
That when she's all by herself
She's really not aloneHe only wants to touch her
He wants to feel her pain
But when he looks into her eyes
She looks another wayIn the daytime he's watching her
And at night when she's asleep
He lays down beside her
And he climbs into her dreamsShe ignores his presence
But she knows when he's near
So he whispers words to her
That he knows she can hearShe's looking in his eyes
When she looks into thin air
Just because she can't see him
Doesn't mean that he's not thereThe body is a house
That allows the soul to be seen
And he is simply homeless
His spirit wondering free-K.S.
