Carter hadn't talked to either Draco or Pansy for the past three days.
"Pass me the salt would you?" He asked Blaise while glaring at Draco who obviously sat closer to it.
Carter still couldn't help but to not notice the bandage around his head.
Had he given him a headbutt that hard or was he playing comedy like always?
The blond boy rolled his eyes and looked at Pansy who had deepened herself in her chocolate cake.
She then looked up and stared at the raven with a frown and moments later, Blaise finally passed him the salt.
"By the way have you heard it?" Jack asked as soon as he finished putting the salt on his eggs.
"Heard what?"
"The pink toad tried to get Trelawney fired!"
"Huh? Did I miss something?" The boy asked confused while looking at the brunet.
In response, the other boy looked at him wide-eyed. "...It has basically been something everyone is talking about now."
In that moment,Carter couldn't help but feel rather stupid.
His mind had been mainly occupied with finding a solution for his own problems.
Today, he and Rolf were supposed to meet up.
The raven wondered what his so-called solution was.
His eyes slowly wandered toward Leyla who was sunken into thoughts while playing with her food.
For the past few days, Carter hadn't been talkative at all.
He hadn't bothered to have a conversation with anyone in the first place, including Leyla.
He didn't hope she felt too guilty about what happened.
It was as if he had said it out loud because she immediately looked back at him.
Embarrassed by getting caught, Carter avoided her intense stare and looked to the other side, somehow at Malfoy.
He wished the blond wasn't as much of a dickhead. He wished he hadn't hurt his feelings the way he did.
Carter was conflicted.
He wanted to love Draco Malfoy and bash his head open for all the things he did at the same time
Talk about a love-hate relationship, he thought while leaning on his hand.

After breakfast, Carter received a letter from Rolf, telling him to meet up at Dumbledore's office.
Tye raven narrowed his eyes and ripped the paper.
"So this is his solution, is he kidding me?"
