He looked down
She lifted his head
"Hey....
To be frank..what I'm doing is quite dangerous and I don't want you to get hurt ."
"If you don't mind.... can I accompany you ?"
She hesitated
"I-I have powers. I can help you..."
She tilted her head sideways furrowing her eyebrows
" What kind of powers?"
He gulped
"I-I can show you"
She got up
He walked outside the tent and she followed him
'Ondine'
"I'm here" came her reply almost immediately
He closed his eyes and extended his hands. Then he slowly breathed in and out.
And then suddenly his eyes open and he pulls...
He slowly looks down.
She follows him, looks down, and gasps.
' He can manipulate darkness. It's really dangerous. If he.....'

He lets go and it disappears suddenly as if it was never there.
He pants with his hands on his knees
She walks up to him and pats his back
"So... you can control shadows ?"
He stands straight
"Not really. I just figured it out some days ago. But they don't know about this."
"So.. why did you tell me ?"
He sighs
"That day I felt it. Like it was trying to take control of me...."
He furrowed his eyes " Like there was a battle inside of me.... But when you touched me it was at peace. It just disappeared..."
He grabbed her hand holding it gently
"So please let me stay with you." He begged
She sighed and reluctantly agreed
"But... you need to train yourself and don't follow me if I don't ask you to." She placed a hand on his shoulder "I don't want anything to happen to you."
He smiled genuinely
"Thank you."
She messes up his hair
"Ok partner. So...can I give you a name?"
"Huh ?" He asked surprised
"Well...I can't just keep calling you partner can I ?" She winked
"Is there something you would like to be called?"
He shook his head
"You-you want to give me a name ?"
He asked
She smiled
"Yes. And since there isn't a name you would like to be called I'm gonna give you a temporary name until you find a name you really like. There's a lot of options to choose from."
"....Okay."
"Asher."
He looks at her
"Do you like it ?" She smiled
He nods slowly
"That's the name my mom wanted to name my brother if they ever had one." Her smile drops
"Now they're both gone and I'm trying to find out what happened to them." She sighed
"I'll help you however I can." He told her solemnly.
"Thank you." "But don't get hurt."
"Let's go back inside." She told him while messing with his soft hair again
