Part Twenty Two-Blind Actions

Kenta POV
I slowly open my eyes, my vision blurry and a headache painfully taking up my thoughts. I slightly recoil back as the sun shines into my eyes.

"You're awake...Good" I hear that familiar raspy yet sinister voice say

"Venom? What...ugh...What happened?" I ask as my eyes slowly start to adjust to the light

"I took up your challenge, so to speak" he cryptically answers

"What? What does that even mean? I hardly remember anything last night, let alone any 'challenge' I gave you" I say

Leaning up, I look around to find myself in my dorm room. Though...it seems a bit messier than usual.

"We did go out on patrol yesterday, right? Sheesh, it must've been a ROUGH night cause I didn't remember anything" I say

"It was quite eventful, I had a real good time" he sinisterly tells me

Getting up out of bed, I quickly go about my daily routine. Though, while I'm downstairs, I happen to hear a peculiar report from the news station that's playing on the common room TV.

"Last night, police found multiple near dead criminals scattered across Tokyo's alleyways. Key witnesses report of a vigilante in an all black suit brutally beating common thugs to near death— only stopping at the sound of police sirens heading their way" the female newscaster reports

"Hm...Might be an eager new vigilante joining the streets. I should find them and show 'em how we do things around here" I think

"Yo, Miyamoto! Glad to see you actually up early" a familiar voice says from behind me

Looking over, I see both Inaba and Sugiyama walking over to me.

"I know, right? I'm usual not up till at least an hour from now. I slept like a log last night though" I say

"This license exam must be really something if it's even making you wake up and go to sleep early" she jokes

"I-I'm sure they won't be too bad. N-Nothing we can't handle" Sugiyama encourages

"Mei's the one who's the most excited about it. She's already planning every possible invention we couple make and show off. She even read the packet front to cover multiple times to make sure we hit the mark perfectly. And she hardly ever reads instructions" I laugh

"Y-You two are gonna start a support company together, right?" Sugiyama asks as I nod in response

"Ah, must be nice already knowing what you're gonna do once you graduate. I don't know if I just wanna join a big company or start my own yet" Inaba sighs

"Y-You could make one with-" Sugiyama is cut off

"Tokuda offered to make one with me, but I don't know, starting a company with someone is a big deal" she says

"Ha! I wonder if he was serious or if it's just because you're a pretty girl. After all, that's all he really cares about" I say

"Th-That's a bit mea-" Sugiyama is cut off once again

"Bah! Who knows! He's a weird guy" she says

After we talk a bit more, I decide to go and wake up Mei. Heading inside her room, once again I'm greeted to her junkyard as she quietly sleeps on her desk.

"I'm surprised she hasn't just thrown out her bed for more space at this point..." I think

Waking up Mei, I wait for her in the common room as she groggily goes about her morning routine. Eventually everyone leaves the dorms and starts heading to class.
