My heart beats like thunder
as the music pumps
in my veins
and pulses
through my blood.
Sweat glistens off my forehead,
chest,
and the crevices
of my breast
as I whine my waist
to the beat
of the song.
"Aye! I see you miss twenty-one!"
Michaela yells,
a huge grin now etched
across her face.
I laugh at her nonsense
as she moves her body
with such
certainty
and allure.
Her big,
bold,
and beautiful
hair
sits at the crown of her head
like a kingdom,
curls reaching out
for the ceiling
and expanding
towards the walls
in marvelous rapture.
Gold paints her eyelids,
like a goddess,
like royalty.
I'm almost blinded
by her wide,
pearly smile
when she hands me
another shot.
Which I graciously accept
and down in one.
A rush of adrenaline
surges through me
as Leyna
wraps her arm around me
and yells
into the night.
Michaela laughs
and wraps her arm
around the opposite side
of my body.
I feel the alcohol
buzzing
in my fingertips.
My head
is light.
A soft smile
lazily graces
my lips
while my hands explore
my body
and the air around me,
hips
and ass
moving unapologetically,
sweat dripping
down my stomach
my back,
while hair sticks
to my shoulders
and chest.
The strobe lights
amplify
this euphoric feeling.
I see flashes of movement,
bodies swaying
from side to side,
with smiles beaming
from pure ecstasy,
freedom, release.
To be 21.
Damn,
I really did make it.
