About an hour goes by, and I think the only sober people left at the party are me and Matt.

Matt's helping a girl throw up here, I'm helping a guy throw up there, it felt like I was babysitting a really tall 3 year old. As badly as me and Matt wanted to go back home, we knew we couldn't leave everyone here with no sober people.

After we help people spill their guts out onto the grass, the toilet, and literally everywhere else, we plop on to Alana's couch, letting out a big sigh. Matt looks at me with a slight smirk, and I look back at Matt with a smile.

No matter how close I was to Matt, I'll always remember him as the very first boy I had a crush on.

Before we can exchange any words, we hear a loud splash hit the toilet and a girl cry, "I am so sorry!!"

Matt laughs. "That's my cue." He stands up and turns around to go towards the poor girl, but turns back around to look at me.

"You ok if I leave you here?" he asks.

"Yeah, of course. I'm fine." I try to convince him. I actually hated the thought of me being alone with 20 drunk people in a random house. I guess Matt could see that in my eyes. He always did.

He reached out his hand for me to grab it and accompany him to help the girl throwing up.

I hesitantly grab his hand as we make our way. I guess helping a girl throw up with Matt is better than sitting on the couch alone.

Eventually, everyone gets home safely and the last people at Alana's are the four of us

Eventually, everyone gets home safely and the last people at Alana's are the four of us. Meanwhile, Alana, who thought shotgunning 7 Truly's would be a good idea, was passed out on her couch. Chris and Nick, who were only slightly tipsy, sat on the couch opposite of Alana trying not to wake her with their giggles.

What were they giggling about? They said I remind them of a leprechaun.

Idiots.

Matt and I tidied up the house so Alana wouldn't have to clean up too much all by herself in the morning. As I hum to myself, I hear a sharp gasp from Nick.

"SHIT SHIT IT'S 4! MOM SAID TO BE HOME BY 1," Nick frantically explains.

As we all steal glances from each other for about 3 seconds, Matt and I take all the trash bags we filled from cleaning, threw them over our shoulder with Chris and Nick's help, and we bolted out of Alana's door, throwing the bags in the dumpster before jumping in the car.

We couldn't help but laugh through our panic the whole ride home, as we had no idea what to expect.

We jumped out and Nick had the bright idea for us to get in through the only open window in the house, ensuring not to wake up their parents. This window just so happened to also be very, very, very tiny, and lead to the very, very, very scary basement.

We never really agreed with Nick as a group, but at this point we were desperate. Nick said he'd go last because he's gone through this window before and he knows the strategy, so he'd walk us through it. We all had to squeeze through the window, and when it was Nick's turn, he just smiled and slowly turned his phone around to face us.

"12:59."

All 3 of us stare at Nick in disbelief as he floats over to the front door and walks inside with ease.

"Little bitch." The three of us mutter at the same time.

Nick didn't come out of his room until 11:00 in the morning the next day

Nick didn't come out of his room until 11:00 in the morning the next day. He knew some shit was gonna happen as payback. Just didn't know what.

He stepped out of his room cautiously, examining the whole area before fully coming out. All he saw was the three of us hanging out in the kitchen right outside his room.

Nick stares at us.

We stare at Nick.

Nick keeps staring at us.

We stop staring at Nick.

With Nick scared for what could possibly happen, he breaks the minute long silence. "OH MY FUCK JUST GET IT OVER WITH ALREADY," he says, bracing himself, expecting a punch to the arm or a kick to the back of the knee.

Nothing happens.

We all explain to him that we don't care and it was funny. He sat down with us hesitantly, but as the day went on, he seemed to have forgotten about it.

Then, at night, when Nick thought he was safe, we released a bird into his room.

It only seemed fair!

Relax, it was our friend's bird. He was fully trained all he would do is sit there and stare at Nick.

We carefully had our friend place his bird on Nick's nightstand while he was sleeping. I had to cover my mouth to muffle my laughs, trying to not to wake him.

Once he came back after setting up the bird, we opened the lights and gently woke up Nick. He saw the bird. Then he ran away. Then he fell down the stairs. And then he broke his arm.

Everything happened so quickly, in the moment

Everything happened so quickly, in the moment. It was kinda scary. After a good lecture from Mr and Mrs.S for all 4 of us, Nick included, they told us that the jokes had gone too far and we needed to dial it back.

They left the room to get some food, leaving just us 3 in the hospital room with Nick. Me and Chris on one side, Matt on the other. We look down at Nick with sorrow, until we aren't. I hear a laugh push its way out of Chris' mouth, and we all slowly join the laughter one by one, Nick being the last.

"Nick we are so sorry," I say through tears of laughter. I really did mean it though.

"It's ok it's not your guys' fault." Nick admits. "...Ok it's like kinda your fault but I still love you guys."

We all join in for a group hug as the final peace offering.

In first grade, we all promised each other that no matter what, at the end of a fight, you have to hug them.

I felt a hand reach my back as we hugged Nick. It was Matt. I looked at him as we were huddled around Nick, and he smirked at me before looking back down.

I couldn't help but smile, even though my best-friend could've died. I was smiling ear to ear.

• HAHAH OK so i wanted a kinda funny episode before we got into all the dramatics so here's that

• ooooo matt and jayyy

• chris will talk more i promise

with my heart, day<3
