The underboss nodded and gestured a man to bring me clean clothes.

"I have asked Alina to track Selvester" he said and I nodded.

I changed my clothes and put away the guns, except one that I strapped to my waist. I can only ever be so careful.

"Are you going out alone?" Viper asked me and I looked at him amused.

"Why? You think I can't protect myself or something?" I smiled, putting on a pastel blue hoodie and walking out of the room.

I walked around the streets for a bit, not wanting to go home yet when I spotted a small Café. Having nothing better to do, I decided to go in and eat something.

I entered the small place and my eyes immediately went to the figure behind the counter.

A dark haired boy stood, his eyes focused on his book and I smiled. His dedication to study at eleven at the night was amazing.

"Welcome what can I get ya?" he murmured his attention still on his books and I suddenly felt the urge to make him to look at me.

"Can I get a brownie and a cup of hot milk?" I blurted out and he finally looked up.

Fuck, he was hot.

His eyes were a deep shade of blue, contrasting to mine that were the lightest, most grayest shade of blue ever.

We both stared at each other for a few seconds, taking in each other's features before he finally broke the eye contact and went to the kitchen.

"Wake me up when your shift ends" I ordered him after I finished the brownie and put my head down on the table.

I tried to sleep but all I could think about was his face...what did he say his name was again?

Great, I had already forgotten his name....

Why is it that every cute guy I meet, I can never remember their names?

I peeped through my fingers and stared at him.

His eyes were focused on his books in front of him, pink lips pouting cutely as he pondered at what I assumed was a problem, and I suddenly felt an urge to pinch his cheeks.

Fuck, what was I thinking?

I stopped smiling and immediately looked away at the glass door when I saw Alina talking to someone across the street and my body stiffened.

Wasn't she supposed to be in Italy right now?

I was about to get up when the waiter closed his books and looked up, making me panic and pretend that I was sleeping.

Well, he was supposed to wake me up in a few minutes either way, so pretending a little won't hurt.

I waited for a few minutes for him to 'wake' me up but after ten minutes, my patience ran out and I lifted my head up.

He sat infront of me, sketching, his brows furrowed in concentration, his cool blue eyes, staring at his sketch pad and I felt a tug in my heart.

"Ughhhhh I give up!!!" he groaned as he flipped his sketchpad and shoved it into his bag and I decided to have a little fun with him...

When I looked at the clock again, it was half past twelve and with the last flick of his pencil, I was up, and muttering something about 'always finish what you start' I walked out of the café.

"Dammit, I lost her" I thought as I ran down the street, checking every nook and corner.

"Cas-Boss" someone whispered before I was yanked into a dark alley. My hand immediately went to my waist, in a second my gun pointing at the person who pulled me in.

"It's me Alina" she said urgently but I didn't lower my gun. She was not supposed to be her at all.

"Perché sei qui?" I asked her and her gaze slowly moved to my finger around the trigger and then back to my face.
[Why are you here?]

"Selvester met me earlier. He is alive and wanted you to know that Adriana is going to marry Agatino" she said nervously and I clenched my jaw.

Of course she wanted to marry him.

The minor family and major families of the Bernardii were not blood related but were always in a love hate relationship ever since my dad became the head of the De Niro family.

Of course Adrianna wanted to turn this love hate relationship into love and get the new allegiance to overthrow me.

I should have known her motives from the start.

"And, Ce-Cesare...he wanted to tell you that...he is breaking off the alliance" she spoke after a long silence and my vision turned red.

"Break off?" I laughed and clenched my jaw before wrapping my hand around Alina's neck, pushing her into the wall.

"Bo-boss...Ca-CaspIan" she wheezed, hitting my hand as I kept on tightening my grip on her neck.

I could see the veins on my hands pop up as I choked her.

"Tell Casare, to meet the consigliere and then talk" I growled before releasing the blue faced girl from my grip.

She collapsed down on the floor coughing and gasping for air and I smirked in satisfaction eyeing the deep red marks on her neck.

I walked out of the alley leaving that mess of a redhead alone when I saw the same waiter I met at the café walking infront of me.

"I forgot your name, what was it again?" I asked him and he jumped in fright.

"What the fuck did you stalk me?" he asked and I rolled my eyes.

I have better things to do than to stalk every eye candy I meet baby.

"I was here before you" I plainly said and he nodded, staring at me intently.

"So?" I urged again, raising my brows.

"Vesper Evans"

Vesper...I liked him.

"My name is Caspian". But you can call me daddy.

"See you around then, Caspian" he waved and walked away.

"Boss are you okay?" Viper materialized beside me and I nodded.

Over the years I had somehow gotten used to him just teleporting next to me whenever I least expected him.

"Check on him for me" I ordered, staring at the back of the figure walking ahead of us.
