ELEVEN watched hopper through her void.
"i found him." el says, with a blindfold on.
"where is he?" max asks, as blood started to drip from el's nose.
"woods." el replies.
"woods?" lucas asks.
"he's with... will and y/n's mom." el adds.
"our— our mom?" will stutters.
"what are they doing?" max asks.
"ill.. annoy." el tries to pronounce. "they're going to ill-annoy."
"mike! breakfast!" karen shouts as she knocked on the basement door.
"not now, mom!" mike shouted back really loudly.
y/n flinched once mike shouted like that.
mike glanced over at y/n, and a small awkward smile appeared on his face.
"sorry about that." mike says with a smile.
"it's cool." y/n replies with a blank expression, then she turned back to el.
"illinois? illinois, like the state?" mike asks el, as el ripped off her blindfold. "the state of illinois?"
el shrugged. "ill-annoy." she stammered.
y/n didn't speak, she didn't feel like it.
"like a giant shadow. please max. he got your friend too-"
these words echoed through y/n's head over and over again, why wasn't she there for melissa?
"what friend?" max cuts billy off.
she kept thinking about how she could've helped melissa, how she could've prevented this.
"i think her name started with an m. it's melissa." billy replies, as he sniffled.
y/n's eyes started to water as she tried to keep herself together.
"y/n?" mike calls, concernedly.
"i'm going to the bathroom." y/n announces, then she leaves and walks there.
max and el followed y/n in there.
"what?" y/n somewhat harshly snaps once they closed the bathroom door.
"n-nothing.." el says.
