“You know, Yael..” inis akong tumingin sa kanya. He laughed.
“Come on, that's just a year ago..” he teased. Dumampot ako ng suklay at ibinato sa kanya. He just laughed.
“Your Mom will be furious with your hair..” he chuckled and continued doing my make up.
“It's my hair,” sabi ko sa kanya. He shrugged.
“She's your Mom.” he stated.
“She can't do anything about it anymore unless she wants me bald.” I chuckled. Napatango na lang siya at bumalik sa pag aayos ng make up sa mukha ko.
I like my hair now.. And Mom can't do anything about that. Atsaka, I am already old enough to decide on my own.
I felt nervous tonight. The runway show was successful! And I am happy about it, there's no right adjective to describe what I felt when I am walking on that glamorous runway. With exclusive and luxurious people watching, it was indeed fulfilling and more than surreal.
Mayroong after party 'yon at sa isang exclusive na bar kasama ang iba pang models at syempre ang mga designers. Nakilala ko ang pinsan ni Iris doon, si Honey Leigh. She's an amazing designer noon pa and she deserved her place now.
“You should enjoy going out, Brine..” Yael said while finishing some touches. May halong kalungkutan ang kanyang boses. I know why..
Mom's going home sooner. At nasabi ko bang mahigpit siya pagdating sa mga paglabas labas ko? She doesn't like when I am hanging out with some co-models. She told me that they are my competitors, not a friend to lean on. Thinking about Chimmy and Stellar, Mom won't like them but I do.. I want to keep them.. I just hope I can.
“Kalma sa pag inom, Brine.. Maraming mata sa paligid..” mahinang bilin sa akin ni Yael. Tumango ako bago humalik sa kanyang pisngi. He just dropped me at the place since he can't go with me.
“Thank you, Yael. Take care,” I smiled before fixing my ebony silk dress. It hugs my body and shows my bare legs and back.
Bumaba na ako ng kotse at hinawi ang aking buhok. May iilang paparazzi na nag aantay sa labas ng bar. I used my purse to cover my face a bit, masyadong maliwanag ang mga flash ng camera.
“You look dazzling tonight,” a guy shouted. I smiled.
“Thank you,” sabi ko at mabilis na pumasok sa loob.
The bar's bit crowded, actually hindi siya bar kung saan maraming nagsasayawan at nag iinuman. It's a resto bar, I think.. It's good for night hangouts, tipong gustong uminom but in a good place. May iilang mga businessman at woman na mukhang nagdidinner dito.
I immediately saw Chimmy waving her hand, they are sitting at big tables and chairs. May mga inumin na rin sa lamesa at mukhang maaga sila o late lang ako?
“Good evening,” bati ko sa kanilang lahat at isa isang humalik sa kanilang pisngi. Almost all of the models are here together with the designers. The colors of our clothes are different but almost all dark. I sat beside Chimmy, she's talking with some co models, socializing. Meanwhile, Stellar's busy with her phone.
It's a simple celebration, kaunting mga salita mula kay Mrs. De Dios at sa mga designers. They are thanking us for being an amazing model. There's a lot of food and drinks being served, napressure ako sa pag alok nila ng pagkain kaya kumuha ako. I think I needed to work out harder.
“Look at the next table,” Chimmy murmured and slightly pointed to the next table. There's a group of businessmen, they all look bachelor.
“We deserve them tonight, pick one,” she added and chuckled. My eyes widened and looked at her unbelievably.
