Steve couldn't stop thinking about yesterday. Eddie was still asleep, Steve hadn't slept at all. He just couldn't. Those memories from the mall, from everything, wouldn't let him. He knew it was over, but he couldn't let go. Not so easily, at least. He had decided to get changed, seeing as Eddie was asleep. He had gone over to his suitcase at this point and picked out some clothes. He had taken off his shirt and was getting ready to put the clean one on when he heard a yawn behind him, causing him to jump and turn around. "Jesus fuck Harrington don't you want some privacy?" Eddie laughed, getting up to probably leave while he changed. "Hey a little warning next time would be awesome, Munson," Steve shouted to the man outside the door. "Dude we literally had a full blown make out session last night," Eddie reminded. "That was only for like, 15 minutes, Munson," Steve responded. Eddie didn't answer, instead Steve could hear him laugh a little from inside the room. "And here I thought Steve Harrington hated me," Eddie laughed. "I do Munson, don't be too hasty," Steve said, smiling.

"No, but all I'm saying is that rivals do not usually make out with each other for 15 minutes straight just because one of them wanted to test something," Eddie pointed out. "Well whatever, we'll just not talk about it, lets forget it ever happened," Steve suggested, trying to solve the awkward situation. "Right, well, I was wondering if you'd want to go and see a monster movie with me. I saw a theater not to far away from here when the bus drove us, and I don't think anyone will care," Eddie asked, wishing so much that he didn't feel so awkward around Steve. Every time he was in the same vicinity as him he could feel his heart skip a beat. That's not gay, right? I mean, was he? He didn't know. He wish he did, but he didn't. And honestly, he didn't know if he ever would. It's not like He'd ever get a chance with Steve. But then why else would he have asked him to kiss him? Everything was so confusing. Why'd it have to be so confusing?

"Eddie?" Steve checked in, making sure he was paying attention. "Yeah, sorry what?" He looked over, shaking his head slightly. "I said I'd love to, freak," Steve joked. "Right, we go now. It might take a minute to get there," Eddie said, as he put his dirty clothes in his suitcase. Steve had a sad look on his face, did he say something? "What's up with you, Harrington?" Eddie asked, now looking at him directly in the eyes. "Oh nothing, everything is fine," Steve smiled. Eddie couldn't help but feel like he was lying. "You know Harrington," Eddie started, walking closer, causing the other to back up. "I know when you're lying to me. It's stupidly obvious," he continued. "..But, I have a feeling it's, something pretty boy doesn't feel like talking about," he said, taking a step closer every word. At this point, Steves back was against the wall. "Oh well," Eddie grinned, patting Steves cheek before he started walking away. Steves face was honestly, decently red. I mean, Munson had just backed him into a wall. And patted his cheek- He swore the feeling of Eddies cold rings and long, bony fingers against his skin would never get old. Honestly, Steve strongly believed it felt better than a bath after a long day.  At this point, he had been so lost in thought, Eddie practically had control of his mind. There was just something about him, something he couldn't quite put his finger on.

"Thank you," Eddie said, taking the popcorn and the drink. "Alright Munson, there's popcorn for us to share and I got you a drin-" he started. "I...need to use the bathroom," Steve interrupted. He felt close to tears. Everything here reminded him of Starcourt. The smell, the outfits, the people, the posters, the theme, and even the genre of movie they were going to watch. He could not. Do this. "..Alright thenn, I'll go get our stuff set up, be careful," Eddie responded, confused at the sudden change of conversation. Fuck, Steve could barely hold back his tears. Everything was so similar...Why'd he agree to this?... Shit... He couldn't do this...Not today. He didn't want to ruin this for Eddie. "Thanks," Steve said, giving a little nod. He couldn't smile. He could never smile in a moment like this. He rushed to the bathroom, praying Eddie wouldn't come looking for him.

It had been 10 minutes. There was no way Steve had to piss for 10 minutes. That just was not true. Shit Eddie thought, he had to go looking for him. I mean, it was Steve. He couldn't just leave him there like that. What if he had gotten hurt? Or kidnapped? Or maybe he was having a panic attack and needed comfort? That was it. Eddie was convinced he needed to go and check up on Steve. He would do the same for him, right? Eddie had now gotten up out of his seat, and had started his way out to the bathroom. When he arrived, he had called out Steve's name, just like he had at school. He didn't get a response, but he could hear someone cry from inside one of the stalls. He saw someone sitting down in one of them, that must've been Steve. Who else would be crying at a theater? In the evening? "Steve I know you're in there. Come out, please," Eddie slightly begged. He couldn't help but want to comfort him. They weren't friends or anything, fuck no, but he knew Steve had seen shit. The door to the stall had opened, revealing Steve, teary eyed and runny nose. "Come here you dickhead," Eddie said, opening his arms for a hug. Steve ran over to him, he'd never admit it, but he was so happy he had someone to comfort him. "Do you need to leave?" Eddie whispered, rubbing circles with his thumb on the others back. He could feel Steve nod slightly, but he could tell that he felt guilty. Shit, why did Eddie have to like him so much? He just, couldn't help it. Steve was now looking Eddie directly in his eyes, trying to figure something out. Eddie nodded, and Steve kissed him. It wasn't the type of kiss that would turn into a make out session, it was pure. Wholesome, even. It felt as if it had lasted hours and seconds at the same time.

Steve still couldn't sleep still. He was terrified to. But he had to, he needed rest. "Eddie?" Steve looked over at the sleeping man in the opposite bed. "Eddie!" Steve whisper-yelled, trying to wake him up. "Huh? what?" Eddie looked around. His voice was deeper and more raspy. "Can I sleep with you?" Steve asked, not realizing how wrong that sounded. "What it's like midnight and you want to fuck?" Eddie said, confused. "No I meant sleep in the same bed as you not-, whatever, can I?" Steve questioned, his face now slightly red. "Sure dude whatever I don't give a fuck do what you want," Eddie rambled on a little, yawning and laying back down. "Thanks," Steve whispered. "Yeah whatever now hurry over and shut the fuck up," Eddie yawned again, still half asleep. Finally, Steve would get some rest.
