The world was so loud, everything burnt the sun, the stars, the sky, they all crumbled under the weight of the war. The screams and cries that permeated the air were a constant mantra in my mind. 

My throbbing hands dug into the ashy earth, a gash torn through my hand, I stumbled forward my shaky breaths uneven and witling away. The  darkened sky roared as it was torn open by fire so much burning, so much ash, so much death.

I lifted my gaze just to see those crystal eyes that I begged to see me before my last breath.
