"Hyung. Know that we won't take it upon you and I know that neither would Daun be if you take the mild suppressant. It would upset her more if she knows that your performance had been hindered with her emotions." Hoseok sensibly says.

Jin keeps his silence.

"Ugh... That's why we can't just let her go there alone." Yoongi grimaces, breaking the stillness of the room.

"We already did. We agreed on it hyung." Jimin sighs. "I myself had doubts on it but she said it so. She wants to do this alone. Anyways, we won't be parted that long." He adds.

"Can we just call and ask what's she's been doing at least? We don't have to tell her how worried we are for her." Jungkook still insists.

"Daun can sense everything with just your voice." Yoongi mutters.

"Please... just ask her how she is right now?" Taehyung finally pleads. "She might be waiting for a little push?" He adds.

Jin sighs and he himself calls for her...

**********

Under the green maple trees, Daun walks. The shadows of their dancing leaves shade her from the light of the late afternoon sun. The wind blows gently. It whispers memories both good and bad. Some of it whistles the warnings of sadness, but she pushes it aside as she takes her steps forward, away from the car with her guard standing alert, and towards the man. A little smile stays on her lips – the practiced one that she had been sporting almost all her life. She wants it to be genuine, just like whenever she is with her seven, but she couldn't.

"Uncle." She politely bows to the man.

"I thought you would be happy to see me. I guess you're not?" The man can see through her. After all these times, he can always read her.

Admittingly, Daun had expected to be ecstatic to finally see the man. After all, she misses him a lot. However, his presence here is somewhat... puzzling.

"I thought you were in Europe?" The first question blurts from her mouth. She is just so confused. A month ago, her uncle had called and had informed her his prolonged journey in the continent. Her uncle, a famous Korean surrealist artist, had been travelling for his art after his successful exhibit in Seoul. He had told her that it would be months before they would see each other again. She didn't think much about his travels. He had been always like that. It was even the reason of his divorce with Hannah's mother. The later couldn't just understand his way of life even though they are already married. And with the years together, his travels had been increasing, resulting for their divorce.

"I was." His short reply and the sadness on his eyes tell a thousand words. She could see hesitation. She could see him lying – a thing that she hadn't thought of him capable of doing.

Daun couldn't help but doubt if he had ever been truthful to her. If her uncle can read her, she too can. His calls had been too seldom and too short. He had been refusing video calls, even with the several times she had begged to see him. Maybe, he was never in Europe all these months. Or maybe he hadn't been so far at all. Maybe... just maybe, he had been in a neighboring country with her papa.

'Is he really?'

Daun wants to ask questions but her heart is not ready for any answer. She's not even sure if it would be the truth or just another lie. She couldn't help but doubt.

"How is he?" She only asks. She wants to confirm the news that she had known.

"He is..." There is the reluctance again.

"How sick is he?" How life threatening, his sickness is? No matter how she had pretended not to care, she still wants to know.

Her uncle bites his lips. His gaze goes distant. He just stands there unmoving with the stronger blow of the wind, not bothering on answering her inquiry. She is left awkwardly waiting for him to reply as she studies him more.
