TW: Talk Of Suicide
Midoriya lead both Kaminari and Hagakure back to his dorm room. He started fidgeting with his fingers when they got closer. He really wasn't ready to have this conversation, but he had gotten decently close to the two. He didn't want to disappoint them. He'd gotten attached. No one had ever been this nice to him before.
When he got to his door, he fazed through, walking in a daze and halfway, forgetting why he was there. Until he heard people on the opposite side of the door.
"Um, Hey Ku? You gonna unlock the door?" Kaminari questioned.
"Oh, um yeah. Sorry, I forgot you have to open doors to get in them." He laughed nervously, unlocking the door and swinging it open. He stood back and let the two come into him dorm. He closed the door behind them and turned to face them. They both stood awkwardly in the middle of the room.
"You guys can sit y'know?" He said, gesturing to the bed and office chair, though only Hagakure could see it.
Hagakure took the office chair while Kaminari had no problem sitting himself comfortably on the bed, leaning his head against the head. It was silent for a few moments before Midoriya decided to awkwardly speak up.
"Okay, so, um, I don't really know how to start this." He rubbed the back of his neck nervously.
"Okay, well, how about starting with who you really are? Like your name and stuff." Hagakure replied.
"Alright, I'll tell you all that, but first, I need you guys to promise not to say a word to anyone. I'm serious. If you do, I'll fuck with you both for the rest of your life, and no one will ever believe you. You will be sent to an insane asylum, so think twice before saying something, got it." Midoriya lightly threatened. Just ever so lightly.
"Okay, geez, I got it. I promise not to say anything." Kaminari agreed.
"Yeah, I promise. Now it's your turn." She said, looking at Midoriya.
"Um, okay. Well, my real name is Izuku Midoriya. I'm technically -" He was cut off by Hagakure.
"Isn't that the guy from the news? What did he do again?" She asked, trying to remember where she heard that name before.
"Yes, I was on the news for killing myself." Midoriya said, slightly annoyed he was interrupted.
"You what?! Holy shit, are you okay?" Kaminari said nervously, slightly worried for his friend.
"You died. They said you died." Hagakure said in disbelief.
"Yeah. I'm dead. That's why most people can't see me, cause I'm a ghost." Midoriya said, showing himself to Kaminari again.
"So... what happened?" Hagakure said, still in shock. It was kinda a lot, hearing your friend is actually dead, and you had no idea.
"Well, I'm not going into details, but my life sucked, so I ended it. I wanted to become a ghost so I could haunt some people I didn't like during my time alive, and it just kinda happened." He shrugged, not exactly liking the idea of talking about when he was alive.
"Why? Why did you... kill yourself?" Kaminari said, nervous he might have said the wrong thing.
"Like I said, my life sucked. I was bullied for something I couldn't even controll, my mother dispised me and my father wasn't even there, my dreams were crushed, all in all, I had nothing and nobody. No one loved me, no matter how nice I was. No matter how much I tried, I just wasn't good enough. I'm happier now that I'm dead anyways." Midoriya ended, realizing he went a little too deep into his explanation. Thankfully not too far. They didn't know everything yet.
"You're happier now? Even though you're dead?" Hagakure questioned lightly. She didn't want to upset him or say the wrong thing, but she was still curious.
"Yeah. I get to do whatever I want without any consequences. No one knows me. Well I guess now some people do, but you know what I mean. I don't need to do anything. I can mess with people and no one will even know it was me! Its perfect, and I don't regret dying at all." Midoriya finished.
"I guess that makes sense, but why are you here specifically? You said you were here for one specific person. Who is it? Is it one of the people you're haunting? Who are the other people?" Kaminari questioned.
"Okay, okay, one at a time please. Yes I'm here for one specific person, and yes they are one of the people I'm haunting. I'm still going to keep who it is a secret. I'll tell you st some point, but not right now." Midoriya said with a sign.
"Alright, that's fine. Can you tell us the other people though? Like you don't have to say names, just kinda who they were to you?" Hagakure said.
"Yeah sure. I'm haunting my main bully, the one who really pushed me to suicide, y'know? I'm also haunting my mother cause, well, she kinda sucked, I'll be honest. She was negligent and obviously didn't like me at all. I really don't know why she kept me around, but that's off topic. I'm also haunting All Might, so that's fun. It's actually going pretty well, if I do say so my self." Midoriya finished.
"All Might? Why him, he's a hero? What did he do?" Kaminari asked. Midoriya liked that specific wording. 'What did he do?' It made it sound like Kaminari immediately thought All Might was in the wrong, which he was, but it wasn't often people took the side of the citizen over the side of the hero.
"He crushed my dreams. Told me I was useless and would only get in people way. I hate him and want him to know he was one of the main reasons I died." Midoriya stated.
"He fucking what?! What kind of ass? Who the hell does he think he is?" Kaminari yelled. He genuinely didn't want to believe anyone would say something like that to someone. And hearing it was a hero? He was livid.
"Why would he do something like that? Who in their right mind would do something that stupid?" Hagakure questioned in disbelief. Number one hero her ass.
"Mhm. That's all the people I specifically haunt. I also do random pranks on people, hence the class pranks. I mess with a lot of people, for fun mostly. Some of its just collateral damage, but yeah. That's basically it." He finished. He knew he left out quite a few major points, like him being quirkless, but he did want to tell them. He wouldn't be able to bear them hating him like everyone else in his life. He needed these two people, even just for a little.
"Those people are assholes." Kaminari stated, crossing his arms. Hagakure giggled.
"Exactly. We'll help you get back at them-" She stopped suddenly.
"That reminds me, what are we supposed to call you? Do you want us to keep calling you Ku?" She questioned.
"Hmm, well I guess you guys know me well enough. You guys can just call me Izuku, since that technically part of my real name and my fake name. " He shrugged. Silently, he was freaking out. He was never close enough to anyone to let them call him by his first name. He was glad he finally had friends.
"Alright, then I guess you guys can call me Denki then. I've never had a problem with that stuff." Kaminari said smiling.
"Well, you guys can call me Toru!" Hagakure smiled excitedly.
AN: Heyo you beautiful losers! I'm trying to make longer chapters, but as you can see I'm not very good at that. I'm trying to slowly go into the next plot point but I'm terrible at this, so just hang in there. I think this chapter was decent, as it should be cause it took me over an hour. Anyways happy Pride!
