"Ouch! Pepper stop it." I complained while my best friend was trying to fix my eyebrows.

"Come on! You're seriously overreacting. I've done this to almost all the girls in my squad and they never even flinched." Pepper argued.

Cotton Pepper Jones aka Pepper is my best friend and is Cornwall cheer captain. She's five foot two and has huge blonde curls. Pepper looks exactly like the stereotypical cheerleader.

"Pep, I can't take this anymore." I groaned.

"Okay. Just one more..." She replied with her squinting eyes focused on my eyebrows.

"Ow!" I screamed.

"Done. You look way better than you did. You used to have forests on your face."

I turned around and looked at myself in the mirror. Pepper is good at eyebrow maintenance.

"I'm going to take a quick shower. You should probably put on makeup and get dressed." I told Pepper while I grabbed my stuff and head to the bathroom.

It took me about fifteen minutes to wash my hair and dry up. I'm not really the kind of girl who takes forever in the shower.

I stepped out wearing a huge orange shirt that reached my thighs and a pair of cycling black shorts. My hair was slightly dry already since it's not really thick.

"What do you think?" Pepper asked as soon as I stepped out the bathroom. Her blonde curly hair was in a french braid then curled at the tips. Her sparkling blue eyes really popped out thanks to the eyeliner she put on. Her eyeshadow was a baby pink that you could barely notice but still added to the whole look. Her lips were tinted with her favorite lip gloss which sparked just like her dress. She was wearing a pink sparkly dress above the knee and was sort of tight on the torso but then puffs out down your thighs.

"Hello? Earth to Zoe." Pepper joked.

"You look great." I said with a smile.

I sat down and let Pepper do her magic. She's been dolling me up ever since freshman year. I was never really good at makeup or styling hair. I mean, I know how to do it and it doesn't look so bad, but in special events, I let Pepper handle it.

After many rounds of arguments on what eyeshadow to put, or what hairstyle to do, we finally finished and had thirty minutes left for me to get dressed. I didn't know what I looked like since Pep said to see it when all the parts are there.

I hurriedly wore my mint green dress so I could see what Pep has done. I faced the mirror and I looked amazing. I didn't mean to be narcissistic, but Pepper really outdone herself this time.

My brownish black hair was in an up do. It was loosely braided and little strands of hair were hanging. It gave a slight messy look which I really loved. She also added a little sparkle by putting this headband made of sequins on my head. I told her I only wanted light makeup and I'm glad she followed. I had a dark eye shadow on with just enough eyeliner which made my hazelnut eyes pop. She curled my lashes instead of attaching fake ones because I naturally have think lashes. Then, Pepper put on a color less lip gloss to complete the look.

"Oh my gosh! Zoe Monica Meyers, I think you have found your color." Pepper screamed as she entered the room carrying a glass of orange juice.

"My what?" I giggled.

"Your color. You know, the color that suits you the most."

"Mint green?"

"Yes! The way baby or pastel pink is to me."

It was around 7:35 when we left the house. We got into Pepper's old green and rusty Honda Civic.

"Ready?" Pepper asked with a sly smile on her face.
