Fiona joined the rebellion in order to regain her crown. She was fighting for her country, but as time wore on she began to fight for Abraham, because she knew if they lost there would be no going back for him. Fiona cared so deeply for Abraham because without parents she didn't have the right guidance, but then she found someone like her, who didn't quite know what his purpose was; his name was Abraham Kin. His life became hers, and so when he was killed, Fiona lost sight of what she had been fighting for. This caused her to lose sanity, and become the broken queen we see a glimpse of at the end of the first ending.
