Hoping they'd sink in through the layers that kept him warm and guarded his secrets.
Letting him know what hid inside her mind without using words.
But she wanted to touch the mazes down his spine and remember every texture of his arms.
Before he knew it all, because when her thoughts would sink too deeply there would be no air in her lungs for him to save her.
