We ended up getting some food on the way in and relaxed for the rest of the day. I had to go to bed early since I was opening tomorrow.

I just clocked out at the bakery after a long day of putting finishing touches on cake orders, everyone was picking up Halloween cakes and cupcakes today. The store was pretty busy and we sold out of our Frankenstein and ghoul cupcakes. We also had sugar cookies decorated with royal icing as jack-o-lanterns, ghosts, and other Halloween themes. I love working this time of year because of the cool decorations we get to do. We also had graveyard cupcakes that were topped with crushed Oreos to look like dirt with gummy worms sticking out and gravestone toppers and candy bones. They were fun to make.

As I was walking out, I saw Kostas waiting outside. My car was having some issues this morning so I had Aria drop me off, she was up anyway since she had a 6 am client so she dropped me off for my shift at 5:30 and went to work afterwards.

"Hey what are you doing here?" I said walking up to him. He pulled me into his arms and kissed my forehead.
"I heard you were having car trouble this morning?" He said. That little snitch.

"Yeah I'm taking it to the shop tomorrow." I told him. "I'll take it to my dealership." He told me.
"You own a dealership?" I asked him and he shook his head. "My friend owns a dealership and his mechanics are very reliable." He told me.
"Oh ok well thanks. I found you a costume yesterday by the way." I told him. "Did you? So, what will I be dressing up as?" He asked as he opened the passenger door for me. He must've drove today.

"Have you ever watched Who Framed Roger Rabbit?" I asked him. He shook his head.
"Well you're going to be the detective from that movie and I'm also going to be a character from the movie." He hums in acknowledgement.

"I'll drop you off and I'll be back in a few hours." He told me. I guess that's fine since the only thing I need to give him is the fedora. He doesn't seem like the type to own a hat let alone a fedora so that's why I got it from the costume store.

"Okay."

3 hours later

"It's now 4:30 and I'm putting on the finishing touches to my costume. I did my makeup before Aria put on the wig and I love how it turned out. The red sequined dress I had on had a high slit and gave me a nice shape. If anything pulled this costume together, it was the gloves. It's something about the gloves that makes this character. I put on a purple diamond nose ring to match the gloves and makeup.

Aria walks into my room since I had the door open and she looks amazing, scary, but amazing. I went with sexy, while she went with horror and it's funny because it's usually the opposite. I often find joy in terrorizing the children on Halloween.

Aria had on a white crop top and tool skirt that she splattered with blood. She also wore some white gym shoes that also had blood splatter on them. It pains me to see those shoes ruined, but it does the costume some justice. She had on a mask from the election year movie that said kiss me on it and carried the foam machete she bought at the store.

We both looked good to say the least. The party started in an hour and Kostas and Hector should be here any minute. Kostas texted me and said Hector was going to be riding with him in a limo and that we would all go to the party together.

We heard a knock at our door. That must be them. I grabbed the fedora off of my dresser and went to open the door. There stood Kostas and Hector. I saw Kostas look me up and down with a grin. He had on a brown suit like I requested and Hector was wearing a similar theme to Aria with a light up mask. He wore a white hoodie and white jeans that also had blood splatter on them. They must've planned to match.

And to think Kostas wasn't going to dress up. He looks so good right now.
"You two look great." I said letting them into the apartment. Aria was in the kitchen eating some fruit, but came out when she heard them come in.
"And you look amazing, ready to go?" Kostas asked. Wrapping his arms around my waist, bringing me in for a hug. He smells so good.

"Hold on, bend down so I can put these on you." I said with the fedora in my hand. He bends down and lets me place them on his head.

We're all ready to go now.
