Part XIII - 𝑆𝑙𝑒𝑒𝑝𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝐵𝑒𝑎𝑢𝑡𝑦

𝐾𝑎𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑟𝑖𝑛𝑒'𝑠 𝑝𝑜𝑣:

When I wake up I look at the bed and I don't see Kie, so I get up and left the bedroom.

Kie wasn't there, only JJ.

"Morning sleeping beauty." JJ says from the couch turning around and looks at me.

Sleeping beauty?

"Morning... Where's Kiara?" I ask him.

"She just left, she said she was gonna outside a bit alone." he says.

Alone? Where did she go?

"Oh ok. When is she coming back?" I ask him.

"I don't know. She just said she was going out for a bit." he replies.

"Do you know where did she went?"

"Woah, so many questions. Are you afraid of me or something?" he asks joking.

At least I hope he was joking.

"Sorry." I say with a chuckle, feeling embarrassed.

𝐽𝐽' 𝑝𝑜𝑣:

"Sorry." she says with a chuckle and looks at her feet.

Something I've noticed: she always looks at her feet when she is embarrassed.

Not judging, at all. It's kinda cute actually.

"I'm gonna get ready." she says with a akward smile and goes to the bathroom.

"Ok, if you need something tell me." I say.

"Thanks." she says.

After a few minutes she comes out already dressed and with her hair brushed.

"I'm going outside." she says going to the door.

"Do what?" I ask, just curious.

"Uhm... just- no reason. Just to have fresh air." she says going out.

Weird.

I'm bored, I guess I'll just go outside to see what is Katie doing.

I see her sat in the dock alone and I go towards her.

When she noticed me she rolled down the sleeves of the jacket she was wearing and smiled at me.

"Hey." she says.

"Hey, what are you doing?" I ask sitting down next to her.

"Nothing, just thinking. Do you need anything?"

"No, I was just bored so I came to see what are you doing." I say.

"Oh ok." she says.

After a few minutes of just sitting there and doing nothing I look at her and she's looking at her hands playing with her nails.

"What are you thinking about?" I ask her.

"Nothing much." she says.

"Do you think there's a chance they may be alive?" she asks after a few seconds, looking at me and making me realise I was still looking at her.

"John B and Sarah?" I ask.

"Yeah? Who else could it be?" she asks.

"Honestly... I don't know what to think anymore." I say looking at the water.

"And you?" I ask her.

"I don't know. I know we didn't found the bodies there, but there's no way they could go swimming to anywhere. They were so far from everything, literally in the middle of the nowhere." she says.
