TWELVE

"See you tomorrow." I wave bye as he leave my driveway.

I walk inside, my dad slumped on the sofa. I roll my eyes and take off my shoes walking upstairs quietly.

I take off my shirt and bra putting on a bigger shirt. My phone dinged. I took it out my pocket reading the message.

Cam <3

C- hey babe, what's up? You've been kinda awall.

K- sorry. Been busy.

C- it's okay my girl. How you been?

K-good.

C- school?

K-good.

C- wanna call? I got a surprise. ;)

K-what's the surprise?

*Cam sent a photo.*

I roll my eyes setting my phone down. That's all he wants. That's all its ever been about.

I take off my pants and put on some underwear.

I heard my phone ding. I roll my eyes picking it up, but my sassiness wears off when I see it was Colby.

Colby
-good night. Sleep well. See you at school.

I smile. I quickly stop. He's a friend and it'll stay that way.

I wake up to see my phone in my hand. I didn't charge it last night. Must've fell asleep. I put it on the charger and walk to my closet grabbing some mom jeans and a baggy shirt.

I put them on the put on my 2 rings.

I put in one necklace and walk to the bathroom doing some quick makeup. I grab my phone not caring at what percent it's at. I see a message from Colby.

Colby

C- need a ride to school?

K- nah I'm good.

I put my phone in my pocket and I grabbed my bag putting it over my shoulder. I walked downstairs and see my dad, smiling.

"Morning." He smiled. "What's got you so yippy?" I rolled my eyes.

"I'm back on my meds." He smiled again.

"Yeah whatever." I walk out the house, I grab my bike and start riding to school.

I've seen this before. My dad stays on his med for a week then he'll go back to his pet usual stuff. It happens atleast once every two months.

I hook the bike to the bike rack and get off the bike. I walk into school and go to my locker. I  put my bag in there grabbing the stuff I need.

"Hey" kat grabs my shoulder making me jump. "God damn you scared me" I laughed.

"Sorry. So me and Tara are having a study group Thursday night. You coming?" She asked as I continued to granger the stuff I needed.

"Uhm maybe. Depends on how I feel." I shrug shutting my locker. She opens her putting away her stuff.

"Hey guys." Tara smiled, finally by herself.

"Where's Jake?" Kat asked.

"Oh he Uhm is with Sam and Colby. Y'all are coming to the hot tub thing tonight right?" Tara mentioned.

"Yeah. Y'all can meet at my place if y'all want." I paused as we began walking. "My dads back on his meds for this week and he won't mind y'all being there." I continue.

"Hey." I felt a breath from behind me. I see Colby. "Hey." I wave a tiny bit.

"So tonight?" He asked making sure I was 100% coming.

"Yes, Colby I'm coming." I laugh a bit at the fact he was still worried that I wasn't coming.

"Great. Can't wait to see you in that bathing suit." He winks walking backwards to then walk away.

"Ooo." Tara giggles.

"Boyfriend. Colby, I have a boyfriend." I yell. I see Colby throws his hands in the air, putting up his middle fingers.

"Alright. This is our. See you at lunch." Kat kisses my cheek. She walks into the classroom.

"Hey. Be careful with Colby. Jake told me what type of person he is." Tara looks at me.

"Nothing gonna happen between us. I have a boyfriend." I reassured her.

"Yeah I know. Just warning you. Be careful." She pays my shoulder walking into class. I stood there for a second biting the inside of my cheek. I kept walking until I got to class. I walked in and sat in my seat. Behind Colby. He moved seats, to now sit in front of me

Class started and the teacher called role. I hit the inside of my cheek again, making the skin inside my mouth raw.

We start our work. I look up  at Colby who was writing his documents on his paper. I tap his shoulder with my pencil. He 'hmm's' and turns around.

"Do you need me to bring anything?" I asked.

"Yeah. Yourself." He smiled whispering. "Cool." I leaned back as he turned back around.

I tapped his shoulder with my pencil again. "Yes?"

"Can you give me the answer?" I gave him a cheeky smile.

"Gawyd Damn. Fine. I'll give it to you at lunch." He rolls his eyes.

"Cool" I smack my teeth and lean back, tapping my pencil against my paper. "Cool, cool, cool" I whisper.

I raise my hand. "Yes?" Mr. Lindsey looked at me fixing his glasses.

"Can I use the bathroom?" I asked. He nodded. I stood up and walking out, I felt eyes on me. I looked back a bit and saw Colby staring at my ass.

I come back from the bathroom and sit back down. "Hey, tip, if your gonna stare at my ass. Do better, and don't make it obvious" I whisper.

I hear him laugh a bit. I smile leaning back in my chair again.
