Reine woke up panting , with a pounding heart and covered in sweat.
She anxiously looked around her room. It was still dark and her room was lit up by the moonlight.
She took many deep breaths to calm herself down.
Then she walked towards the windowsill of her room and leaned her head out and stared at the moon.
"It's the same again." She whispered.
Sleeping now seemed underrated so she decided to make a plan.
For many years she has been searching and collecting anything she could find about the people who came that day.
She found out that they were actually a part of an organisation a well-known international one at that.
She listened carefully to the conversations of the people who talked about the organisation and she also asked a few discreet questions here and there.
Her family used to live quite far away from the others so they had no idea about what happened as they seemed to have a really good opinion about the organisation.
After secretly searching some more she found out that they have a secret underground base nearby.
"There is a chance that I'll find something about mom and dad there."
"They have to be still alive.." she whispered
'Otherwise it would be my fault.' She didn't dare to voice her thought but she knew it was true.
None of it would have happened if she didn't have these powers. Her parents would still be here and they would have been living together in their beautiful home.
She took a deep breath calming herself and looked up at the sky again sighing
"I'm sorry mom. I know you told me not to blame myself but non-none of this would have happened if I wasn't -if I wasn't... like this. We could have been together like a happy family...."
"I'm sorry....." She starts sobbing quietly.
After a while she stopped and sniffled, rubbing her nose.
She lightly patted a side of her face trying to comfort herself and when she calmed down she started to think about the basic things she already knew
'First I can't let Uncle Fidel know. I also can't involve anyone, I need to go alone.'
'There's no turning back after this. They'll probably be after me so I need to stay away from uncle and his family.'
'No need to worry about school right now 'cause it's closed for a few months. Hopefully it finishes by then, otherwise I'll think about it later.'
She took her purple coloured velvet pouch which was filled with the money she saved over the years and counted the money.
Satisfied with how much money she had, she kept it aside.
'I would have to tell uncle A reason so that he'll let me leave.'
She thought about it for a while.
By now the sun was rising steadily.
She yawned
" I better sleep for a while, it's gonna be a long day." She mumbled getting back into the bed.
