Present (A Week Later):
Y/N's POV:
It was almost a week from the Yule Ball. People were asking people out. Amelia, Daisy, and Peony already have dates to the ball, so it was just me. Tom most likely won't go as he told me. I sighed. 'I really wanted to dance with him though...' I thought to myself 'Wait! Why would I want to go and dance with him?'. I then see Oscar walking up to me and Amelia with a bouquet of flowers. He then looks at me.
"Y/N, would you like to go to the Yule Ball with me?" he asks, I nodded my head slowly
"As friends?" I asked
"As friends," he says smiling, he then hands me the bouquet of roses, I didn't really like roses, Amelia then looks at me with her mouth slightly gaping
"What?" I asked and raised my eyebrows
"I thought you were interested in Riddle?" she asks
"Well I asked him if he was planning to go, but he said no," I said, she then sighs
"Well we're going to shop for a dress later," she says "Would you like to join me?"
"Sure," I said with a smile, we then parted ways and I walked to Tom and I's secret hideout, I then see him trying another candy that we purchased last week, I then sat next to him
"So what do you think of the sugar quills?" I asked
"It's not that bad...I still prefer toffee...This is way too sweet," he says "Doing anything later?"
"Yes, I'm going back down to Hogsmeade to buy a dress for the Yule Ball, Oscar asked me earlier to go with him," I stated, I then see him with a slightly annoyed face
"You're going with that twat?" he says raising his eyebrows and scoffing
"Oi! He's my friend, it's not like your going anyways," I fought back, we then stayed quiet for the rest of the free period "I'm gonna go to Hogsmeade now, enjoy the rest of the day, Riddle,"
Tom's POV:
When she told me that she was going with that Oscar twat, I felt mad. I didn't like how she was going with him. Maybe I should've just said yes that I was going to the Ball and maybe she could've gone with me. I then see her leaving. I huffed. I'm going to Hogsmeade.
Y/N's POV:
I was at Hogsmeade with Amelia and we dropped by a dress shop. We admired the dresses there, Amelia then saw a dress that caught her eyes.
"How about this?" she asks, holding a long pink chiffon dress with some flowers decorated on the bottom
"It looks nice. Why don't you go and try it on?" I said, she then goes into the dressing room and I continued to browse around the shop, I then see Molly and her minions in the shop, I tried my best to avoid them
"None of these dresses will look good on you L/N," she says with a smirk
"I'm sorry that you have an ugly mug," I said with a smile "These dresses won't match up with you,"
She then scoffs. She then picks out a black dress with a slit, she liked it.
"Maybe this will be the dress that will seduce Tommy," she says with a smile and purchases it, I then rolled my eyes
I found a dress that caught my eye, it was a dark green ball gown with off-the-shoulder straps decorated with floral lace, I touched the fabric, it was pretty.
"You like that one?" Amelia asks, I then see her with the dress on
"It looks lovely on you, Amelia!" I said with a smile "A princess,"
"I'll go and pay for the dress," she says "Go and try it on,"
I then walked into the changing room and tried it on. I struggled to zip up the zipper. I then popped out of the changing room.
"Amelia, can you help me zip the zipper up?" I asked looking for her, but she was nowhere to be found, I then walked backward and feel someone standing behind me, I turned around it was Tom "Riddle? What are you doing here?"
"I went to Honeydukes to buy some more toffee candy," he states "And you were here,"
Tom's POV:
She then bumps into me. She was stunning. The green ball gown on her really suited her.
"Riddle? What are you doing here?" she asks with a confused face
"I went to Honeydukes to buy some more toffee candy," I lied "And you were here,"
"Oh," she says "Can you help me zip my dress up?"
I nodded and I slowly zipped the zipper up. She then looks in the mirror and twirls a bit. I slightly blushed at how cute she was.
"I like it," she says "Can you help me unzip it now?"
Y/N's POV:
I changed into my normal clothes and then purchased the dress. I then see Amelia talking to her date, Lestrange. She then sees me.
"Oh sorry!" she says running to me "Lestrange was here and wanted to say hi to me...You got your dress,"
I nodded. Her facial expression changed, I'm assuming she sees Tom behind me. She then hooks her arm into mine.
"Come one! Let's go," she says with a smile, I was then practically dragged away by her I then looked at Tom and waved goodbye
Tom's POV:
She smiles and waved goodbye. I waved goodbye to her as she then disappears from my sight. I then see Lestrange walking towards me.
"You fancy L/N?" he asks raising his eyebrow
"I don't know what you mean..." I stated and started walking to the carriage
"Come one, Riddle," he says following me "I see how you look at her with those eyes,"
"What eyes?" I asked, he then thinks for a moment
"It's like she's happiness to you," Lestrange finally states
