Recap:
The way she smiled at Oscar, I only wanted that smile.
Present:
Y/N's POV:
I then made my way to the bathroom before I went to the library. I then left the bathrooms and made my way into the hallway. I then see Molly and her friends standing in front of me.
"What do you want Pummel?" I asked
"Remember when I said that you'll regret it?" she says taking out her wand, she then casts a spell but I dodged it, I then took out my wand, her friends did too
"Really? Five to One, seems a bit low," I said walking at small paces "You must be that weak that you can't fight me yourself?"
"Oh! Shut Up!" she then casts another spell and yet I dodged it again, her friends then all summoned a spell at the exact same time, I didn't really want to use my wand because I would actually hurt them
I then dodged them all at the same time. But it caused a lot of rubble and I was distracted when a girl took my wand. 'What am I thinking? Of course, I should've used my wand! I'm such an idiot!' I thought to myself, I then see Molly pointing her wand at me
"Your the weak one here L/N," she says "Your not special,"
She was just about to punch me in the face. I then saw a hand catch it. I looked up and saw Tom.
"I think that's enough," he tells Molly
"Tom I- but she started it!" she says pointing at me
"First of all stop calling me Tom, and second of all don't blame L/N for your insecurities," he said and lets go of her hand, the girls ran off and dropped my wand, she then follows them
I got up and brushed the dust off my skirt.
"Why thank you, Riddle," I said picking up my wand from the floor "I'll be off now, and no I'm not a damsel in distress,"
Before I took another step I felt his hand on my shoulder as he pulls him towards me.
"I don't think so," he says pulling me to the infirmary "Your forehead is bleeding if you haven't noticed,"
He was walking really fast so he was practically dragging me.
"Tom you're walking a bit too fast!" I said trying to catch up
"Maybe you're just too slow," he says, I can sense a smirk from him
"Your such a jerk," I muttered under my breath
"I heard that," he said, we then bumped into Oscar on the way to the infirmary, we all stopped dead
"Y/N? Did he do this to you?" Oscar says pointing at my forehead
"What? Oscar? N-" I said, but I was interrupted by Oscar himself
"I told you to stay away from him!" he then pulls me to his side and takes me to the infirmary instead, I then looked back at Tom who was still standing in the hallway, I then waved goodbye, I then see a little nod from him and he walks away
Tom's POV:
That Oscar boy is getting onto my nerves. I then see Y/N waving goodbye, I then nodded and made my way to tell Headmaster Dippet what happened.
Y/N's POV:
The nurse patched up my cut. I then see Amelia, Peony, and Daisy rushing into the infirmary.
"Are you okay Y/N? Who did this to you?" Amelia asks
"It was-" I was then interrupted again by Oscar
"It was Riddle," he frowned when he mentioned his name
"No, it wasn't Riddle, Oscar!" I scolded, then folded my arms "It was Pummel and her minions,"
"You beat all five of them?" Daisy asks
"No, of course not," I stated "They took my wand so I was basically powerless, Pummel was about to punch me but Riddle caught her hand..."
I then see Headmaster Dippet enter the infirmary with Professor Dumbledore.
"Ms. L/N are you alright? Mr. Riddle told me what happened," he says sounding worried "Those girls will be punished, now rest and get better,"
Later that Day:
Y/N's POV:
The sun was setting and I was in the common room resting. Luckily the cut wasn't that bad. I continued reading my book on the couch. I then heavily sighed. 'Today has been... a lot,' I thought to myself 'A dead boy this morning and get beaten up in the afternoon'. I then heard the door opening. I took a peek and saw Oscar entering.
"Do you want to go and eat supper? Or are you not up for it?" he asks in a gentle voice
"I'm not hungry," I said lied, I don't feel like seeing Molly and her friends "I had some food at the infirmary,"
"Okay, suit yourself," he says closing the door, I was then finally alone, I sighed again, 'Now let me finish reading this book!'
Tom's POV:
I didn't see Y/N sitting at any of the tables. I then saw her friend Oscar sitting down and he talks to his friends.
"Y/N's not hungry, so she won't be eating tonight," he says
'She probably doesn't want to see Molly and her friends...' I thought to myself. I then got up and wrapped a sandwich and an apple tart in a napkin, I then hid it under my robe, I walked into the hallways
"What are you doing out, Mr. Riddle?" I turned around and saw Professor Slughorn
"I'm quite tired so I'm heading back to the dorms," I lied
"Oh okay, just quickly go! And don't let the other professors catch you," he whispers
"Thank you," I then made my way to the common rooms
