2025 the year she left

Me and y/n had been dating for about two years, I met her on a mission and practically begged stark to let us take her back with us. She was injured and I didn't want her to be left alone. The two weeks after that I made sure she was okay every day. About a month or so after we met her she moved into the compound. Stark did a background check on her and it turns out she has powers like rogers she also got given the super soldier Serum . Which is kind of cool, but also very traumatic. Our two year anniversary is in three days and I'm so excited. I'm thinking of proposing, take her out for a nice candle lit dinner then have a walk along the beach where I'll pop the question.

Y/n's POV
I've just been offered a job, the job of a lifetime. A job that is a one time thing. It's now or never, if I say no now I'll never get the opportunity again. But if I go for it then it means I'd have to leave here. Leave Natasha. I don't want to leave her but I know this job will do great things for me.
Friday comes and it's our two year anniversary. Natasha tells me she's taking me out and that I should get ready for a glamorous dinner. I ask Wanda to come help me get ready, and after about an hour we finally decide on the right outfit.

Wanda does my makeup and then sends me downstairs. As I walk into the living room I see nat their waiting for me, the rest of the avengers are sat on the settee watching the tv.
Nat's outfit

Just before we set off Steve asks to have a word with Natasha and when they come back nat has a huge smile on her face. We set off and about ten minutes later we're at this beautiful restaurant. We have a lovely dinner and then she tells me we have one stop before going home. She blindfolds me leading me down some steps onto sand.
Nat's POV
We get to the beach and I tell her she can take her blindfold off now. As she takes it off she gasps at the beautiful view

As she turns to look at it I kneel down behind her and get the ring out

Natasha: y/n hunny turn around.

Y/n's POV
Shit. Shit . Shit. Natasha's just told me to turn around and I know exactly why. I turn around and their she is on one knee with a ring in her hand.
Natasha: y/n I've loved you ever since we met I know your the one for me. We're  meant to be together. So y/n y/l/n, will you make me the happiest woman alive and marry me.
I can't even answer I just freeze and ask her if we can go back to the compound.

Nat's POV
Omg she wants to go home. She hasn't even answered . Has she planned something at home or something. We walk back to the car and spend the full drive back in silence. We get to the driveway and park, straight away she gets out and walks into the compound . I run in after her and shout over to her.
Natasha: please y/n/n, please just give an answer. Will you marry me ?
Y/n: please don't make me answer here .

Y/n's POV
Natasha : why not ?
At this point most of the other people in the compound are listening to us. I look over to everyone else.
Natasha: so you won't answer because there's over people here? Or just because you don't love me like I do you?
Y/n: I love you Natasha I love you so so much.
Natasha: but?
Y/n: but I can't marry you, not now .
I say that then run up to my room pack some bags and grab my car keys.
