"Have you kissed a girl?" she asked for the second time when I didn't answer.
"Yes," I replied that made her tilted her head to look at me.
"With whom?"
"Claudia."
"The fuck, Travis! That's not what I mean."
I chuckled because of her cute reaction. She sat beside me so we can talk better.
"But my Claudia is a girl," I defended trying my best not to laugh.
"I know but she's a cat. What I was asking is about a girl, a human like us."
"Nah, I don't."
She crossed her legs with her body facing me. Mikaella grabbed my hands and squeezed it gently while staring at me intently like an innocent kid.
"But do you know how to kiss?"
I gulped because of what she had asked. The fuck! Why is she asking me that?
"Mikaella..."
"Travis, I want you to teach me how to kiss."
"Mag-aral ka muna, ineng."
Kaagad na nagusot ang mukha niya dahil sa sinabi kong iyon. Tumagilid siya sa akin at humalukipkip.
"Ano ba 'yan hindi mo man lang sinakyan trip ko," patampo nitong sambit habang nakanguso.
"Ah need ba sakyan? Sorry 'di ako na-inform kaagad."
"Argh! Kaasar ka talaga! I hate you."
"Tampo na naman." Bumuntong hininga ako at kinabig siya palapit sa akin.
"Ikaw kasi!"
"Bata ka pa, ineng," bulong ko sabay tawa kaya mas lalo siyang nabwisit.
My class started at ten o'clock in the morning. I'm already tired when I entered the school campus. Katatapos lang kasi ng shift ko sa Milktea shop. I worked there at 6 AM to 9:30 AM every Wednesday. Part-timer lang ako kaya paiba-iba ang sched.
"Travis!"
Nilingon ko ang tumawag sa akin sa kahabaan ng pathway at nakita ko si Mikaella na naglalakad palapit sa akin. May kasama itong dalawang babae at hawak sa kamay ang palamig at paper cup ng kikiam at kwek-kwek.
"Break time?"
"Yeah. Friends ko nga pala sina Mary at Rain."
"Hi." I waved my hands so they will not feel uncomfortable.
"Hello." Shit bakit biglang lumiit ang boses?
"Ngayon pa lang start ng class mo, 'di ba?"
"Yeah, why?"
"You looked tired. And look at you, you're sweating." Inilabas niya sa bag ang isang rolyo ng tissue at pinunasan ang pawis sa noo ko gamit iyon. "Tumakbo ka siguro mula sa parking."
"Uhm, yeah. Thank you. Anyway, I have to go. Baka ma-late ako sa first class ko."
"Study well, Doc."
"You too, Attorney."
"OMG! Ang gwapo talaga. Tapos ang bango-bango pa."
"Girl, 'di ba five years age gap ninyo? Bakit hindi mo siya tinatawag na kuya?"
"Hindi lang ako nasanay."
Wala ka lang talagang galang.
"Where's the tissue?"
