October thirtieth had nothing informative to report. November second, more boring dribble that made Taehyung want to pitch himself into the icy river and float away to the borders of North Korea.

Ah, but what was this? The third of November had a fun-filled graphic to accompany it!

Jin was a true artist, his matchstick people were impeccable, two love-birds sitting on a doodling of stars while some unfortunate soul dangled by a noose from what looked like a...

Hmm, Taehyung ruminated, squinting while bowing his head to gain a better view.

Was that a supernova or a super massive black hole?

Death to Kim Taehyung, the caption read.

'Charming,' Taehyung drawled as he leafed through the journal to find the hottest entry.

The fourth of November held the answers Jin had been searching for. Their recent discovery of the unique stars working their magic within all universes, The Greater Good linking the souls of Jimin and Yunhee, The Dark Energy working against them.

There was even an additional passage scrawled at the bottom of the page.

I believe that Jimin and Yunhee (destined soulmates) are the only two that can touch the stones because they were sent by The Greater Good.

A vicious sneer shrivelled Taehyung's mouth as his fingertips whitened around the leather cover.

'Codswallop.'

Soulmates? Yunhee and her cherished friends had the wrong end of the stick.

For years, Taehyung had been a trophy hunter, stripping women of their rights and claiming them as possessions. And yet, despite inculcating fear in the weaker sex through unsolicited ownership, it appeared that he, too, was under the thumb of a formidable dictator.

The result of irony was often wryly amusing.

Taehyung did not look upon himself as a victim, though. No, he was the superior power, and with the devil himself stirring in his veins, fuelling him, driving him, he could procure anything and everything he wanted as it beckoned him to something greater.

The Dark Energy had played a major part in his empowerment, guiding him down the road to become a Mafia King. It showed him the vortex. It brought Yunhee into the café and threw her into his path time and time again.

It slowly but surely tore her from Jimin, enticing her in like a moth to the flame to bind her to him, mind, body, and soul.

Their little courting game was rewarding, but it was only the tip of the iceberg.

Two coffee dates he'd taken her on now, the second only yesterday afternoon. His precious Yunhee had been as skittish as a lamb in spring as they put themselves on display in the window again, while Jiminie remained a good little boy, staying out of sight until Hoseok showed up.

Too bad he was under strict orders to remain at the penthouse this time.

Their third and final coffee outing was already set. Yunhee would be subject to a thrilling adventure packed with spicy drama, and once they returned, Ji Changwook would send his threat, leaving Jimin and his men no choice but to leave the estate to calm the waters.

T-minus two days, and he would slip her right out of sight.

Dazzling headlights blinded Taehyung as a sizable vehicle crawled towards the undercarriage of the bridge.

Sliding Jin's journal inside his inner coat pocket, he extinguished his rollie beneath his grinding heel, nodding briefly at his shivering right-hand man who waited obediently in the car they'd seized from Hobi.
