PROLOGUE
I do not know why I do this, "use pain to shield from pain". You would think that I would have become immune to pain by now. After all,what tragedy have I not seen? they have claimed my soul and my body.
I have only ever known one type of love, I didn't realize I was so co-dependent in my previous relationship until after the fight. I couldn't do anything properly. If he didn't love me ,
I could not love myself too. In trying to show him he was all that mattered to me I became someone addicted.
I was finally free from that relationship but unknown to me my past would follow me like a shadow ,it will hunt me and be with me everyday of my life.
Hey guys ,its my first book and I guarantee you it's not your typical love story . The book is titled "Phoenix" as it revolves round a young girl who goes through the tragedies of life and comes out better than before. You might encounter some grammatical errors and the use of other languages ( Hausa) but please bear with me.
