Y/N pulled into the driveway before putting the car in park, letting her head fall against the headrest. She had been driving for hours but she finally made it back home. Back to the Valley.

Y/N glanced up at the house she was at, happy to see that it was as intact as it was when she looked at it months ago. It felt weird for her to be pulling up to a house in Encino instead of a crappy apartment in Reseda. Maybe she'd bump into some of her old friends now that she lived here. Maybe she'll bump into Johnny.

Y/N shook her head at this. No, she couldn't think about Johnny. It hurt too much. Even though they went their separate ways 34 years ago, it was hard for Y/N to move on.

It sounded silly, really, that after 34 years she still couldn't get over her high school sweetheart, but it wasn't as easy as it sounded. Y/N thought she was going to marry Johnny. She thought they would spend the rest of their lives together. Look what happened there.

Y/N had dated a lot throughout college and even after but she never found someone she connected with. Or maybe she wasn't really looking.

At one point, she did meet a guy that she felt she could start a future with but he turned out to be a jerk. He was a nice guy at first but once he found out how much money Y/N made, he changed. Every opportunity he had, he would try to get some type of money out of her, but she refused.

He was abusive, more emotionally than physically. It had taken a while but once Y/N was able to, she bought a house in Encino and packed her things. Plus, it was about time she came home.

Y/N opened the car door and started pulling out boxes, deciding whether or not to move the heavy stuff first. Her furniture was already inside, it just needed to be assembled. Add that to the to-do list.

Y/N bent down and picked up two boxes, struggling a little bit as she tried to find her key. "Hey! Do you need some help?" A voice asked, making Y/N look up.

"Daniel?!" She exclaimed, her mouth falling open. Daniel grinned. "Hey, N/N, long time no see." He said. Y/N felt deja-vu wash over her as she thought of the first time she met Daniel.

It was the same circumstances, Y/N and Daniel were moving in, Y/N offered to help Daniel with his things and the two discovered they were neighbors. It was like being 17 all over again.

Y/N set down her boxes and ran over to Daniel, wrapping her arms around him. She had missed Daniel a lot over the years, especially when things were tough. It wasn't like they never communicated with each other, it was just hard. What with him starting a family and his own business while Y/N dealt with her own tribulations, it was easy to forget to contact someone.

Daniel hugged her back, smiling as he did. The two hadn't seen each other since Mr. Miyagi's funeral a few years earlier and that was hardly the place to have a reunion.

The two let go of each other, before staring at each other, so many things they wanted to say. "It's so good to see you, Y/N. I've missed you." Daniel admitted, his ears reddening slightly.
"I've missed you too, Daniel. I'm so happy to see you again." Y/N replied. "So this is your house, huh?" Daniel asked, gesturing to the house. Y/N nodded. "It sure is."

Daniel laughed. "Wow, so I guess we're neighbors again. My house is right over there." Daniel said, pointing at the house right next to Y/N's. Y/N laughed at this. "Just like old times, then." She grinned. Daniel smiled. "Would you like to come see Amanda and the kids? They've missed you." Daniel said. Y/N nodded. "Of course."

After putting some of Y/N's boxes into the house, the two walked over to Daniel's house, talking like no time had passed at all. "Amanda! I brought someone over!" Daniel called into the house. The sound of high heels clicking against the tile floor was heard until Amanda LaRusso came into view, a giant smile on her face.

"Y/N!" She exclaimed, rushing over and hugging her. "It's so good to see you again Amanda. I knew I left Daniel in good hands with you." Y/N winked. Amanda laughed. "Well he is still a handful and whines a lot but I'm sure he'll grow out of it." Amanda joked. "I am standing right here, you know." Daniel said. "Oh we know." Y/N deadpanned.

Daniel rolled his eyes. "Where are the kids?" Daniel asked. "Sam is out with some friends and Anthony is in his room glued to his iPad." Amanda replied. "Oh, well I can come by later and see them." Y/N said. "Great idea! Why don't you come over to dinner tomorrow night? Sam is bringing her new boyfriend." Amanda suggested. "I'd love to."

"Y/N would you like me to give you a tour of the dealership if you have the time?" Daniel asked. "Sure, we can go now. All my cases are closed for right now so I'm not needed at the moment." She replied. "Ah yes, miss big time prosecuter." Amanda teased. "You know it, babe."
----------------------------------------------------
Daniel changed into a business suit while Y/N changed to something a little nicer before the two headed to the dealership. Y/N knew Daniel had started the business but she had never seen any of his stores.

Y/N had come back to the Valley a few times since she moved away but it was usually for short period of time. Jimmy's wedding, Daniel's wedding, Mr. Miyagi's funeral, they were all events that didn't giver her the time she wanted to stay. She had realized though that she couldn't stay away too long and she needed to come back home.

The two walked around the dealership, with Daniel pointing out certain things. He even showed her where he grew the bonsai trees.

The two walked to the showroom when something caught Y/N's eye. It was man dressed in jeans and a flannel, hurrying through the showroom. He had a full head of blonde hair that oddly reminded Y/N of Johnny. No it couldn't be.

Before Y/N could finish her thought, the words tumbled out of Daniel's mouth. "Johnny?" He questioned. The man stopped in his tracks before slowly turning around. Y/N felt her breathe catch in her throat as she finally saw his face. "Johnny." She whispered.
