Tris p.o.v.
I've been the perfect girl for Al. I haven't tried to talk with my friends. I tell him where I am Al the time. He seems happier with me now. I'm miserable. Tobias, I miss him so much.
"Tris, do you want to go with me to homecoming?" Al asks me. He knows I'll say yes.
"Sure! Why not?" I'm trying to come up with a reason why I can't go. Why can't I think of anything?
"Great!" He says grabbing my hand and giving me a peck on the lips.
I try not to tense up. I can't let him suspect anything. Being his little doll is hard.
"Tris?" He asks me.
"Uh? What?" I ask.
He laughs at me a little. "You just stopped walking. Is something wrong?"
"Oh, no! I was just thinking."
"About what?"
"If I should buy a dress for homecoming or wear a old one." He smiles. I gave the right answer.
"I think you should get yourself a new dress." Al says.
Then we walk into gym. Tobias is in this class. We walk over to the bleachers where no one else is. I start to get uncomfortable. Tobias, Al and I are the only ones in here. Tobias walks past us. He doesn't look at me. I feel crushed but then I remember I have to play the part for Al.
"Al?" I ask.
"Yes?" He says taking my hand.
"Your tie should be the same color of my dress." I swallow hard.
"I think that's a great idea." Al says with a smile.
I fake a smile back.

-----end of the day------
Al is walking me home. He seems happy with me finally, not as controlling. I'm putting on a good show. He believes me. When we get home he walks me to my door. Then he gives me a peck on the lips and leaves. I run up to my room. I grab my phone. I call Tobias. The number is blocked. I never blocked Tobias. Al must have. How could he? When did he get on my phone? I had my phone on me all the time. Oh, no! I gave my phone to him before he left. He must have seen my recent calls. Shit! How could I slip up?
