IT'D been a year since the death of my mother, it'd been a year since many things. Eliza and I were officially married, and we'd moved from Sicily to where she's from, Hidalgo. I still mourned the death of my mother, as if it happened yesterday. It wasn't a moment in time where she didn't cross my mind.
Remy was dead, being caught by my men, which put Lizzy's mind at ease. She was taking therapy however, to deal with the traumatic dreams that followed her after witnessing and living through something so horrible.
We did as she said, scattering her ashes upon my father's grave, and we went to visit them every week on Sunday, making sure that they knew everything that went on in our lives. Giovanni took over the mafia, and made it something new. It wasn't about killing and torturing. Instead, he made it as where the clubs and event spaces were the main attraction.
He hired better and stronger men, he created it into something unlike anything else. Elizabeth still didn't speak to her family frequently, but she saw them many times while being out in Hidalgo. We were better, and we were stronger.
As many things as I've been through, there was only one thing I needed to learn. That was that love overpowered anything, it overpowered any triumph, and covered any failure you might think you have.
Being here, with my wife, was the best thing in the world for me, I would cherish these moments forever.
I live in mourn of my mother, but in pride of myself and my new family, for making our way through the adversity.

Guys I am so pleased to announce that this book is now officially completed. Some time this summer I'll edit it and fix any mistakes that I might have made in the chapters, but for now it'll stay the same. I am very proud of myself for finally finishing something, because I'm a master at discontinuing books.
