Second Person POV

With Valentine's Day approaching rather quickly, you scurry around town in a desperate search for Levi's favorite ice cream. The man never went out of his way to treat himself every now and then, so the special event is the perfect excuse to spoil him without feeling guilty. Even you can't remember the last time he had it but ever since you started dating, it was one of the first things you remembered he liked.

Unfortunately, you haven't been able to find it at all and time is running out. Of course, every store you've been to in the last two days have been sold out. Spending your final hours before dinner, you begin to lose hope. You'd rather not resort to the Plan B., making it yourself. However, you would still do it if you were desperate.

Low and behold, you miraculously manage to strike a tub of the sacred lemon-flavored ice cream. Quickly scooping up the carton, you rush to check-out, grabbing a bouquet of white roses on your way, before heading back to your apartment to prepare for the evening consisting of a takeout dinner at home. Tossing the ice cream in the freezer, you scramble to prep yourself before Levi gets home. You had agreed to let him take care of the meal while you handled dessert. With little information, you have no idea what surprise he has planned. Instead of fighting a crowd at a restaurant, you both preferred to stay home and enjoy a more intimate meal together.

After about two hours of getting ready, you set the table with a white cloth, along with utensils and dinnerware. To top it off, you pull out a/n (favorite scent) candle to light and set in the middle of the table. Taking a step back, you smile at the decorated setting, suddenly remembering you had picked up rose petals the other day, as well. Ripping open the package, you begin to sprinkle the rouge petals on the tabletop, instantly wowing yourself. Now, all you need is wine (disregard if you don't drink) and Levi.

As if on cue, the deadbolt unlocks, signaling his arrival from work. "Welcome home, dear!" You smile when the man walks in, tapping the door shut with his foot, hands full. "Hey." He replies, sliding his dress shoes off before heading towards you in the kitchen. "Need some help?" You offer, already reaching for a bag in his grasp. "Oh, thanks." He sets down the other bag in his hand on the counter. Setting down your bag, you open it to see two styrofoam boxes/cups, the delicious smell wafting through the room. "You didn't..." You gasp once recognizing the scent. "Of course I did." Levi shrugs, a small twitch of a grin on his lips. He knows how much you love (favorite food).

"These are for you, also." He pulls out a bouquet of (color/s) (favorite flowers), presenting them to you. "Aw, thank you!" You smile brightly, taking the bunch of flowers from him to put in a vase. "Oh! These are for you, too." You turn around to pick up the bouquet you got for him, from the counter. "That was thoughtful of you." He says softly, carefully accepting them. "Thank you." He leans down/up/over to peck your cheek. Smiling even more, you return the gesture but on his lips. "You're welcome, honey."

After gathering your food and sitting down at the candlelit table, you enjoy your fresh meal, profusely thanking your boyfriend for going out of his way to obtain (favorite food). He never fails to make you smile or make you feel special and loved but that's not the only reason why you love him. Little did he know, you had been planning on proposing to him for some time now, only recently getting the courage to finally do it. A few weeks ago, you had gone out with Erwin and Hange to ring shop, and they were nothing but supportive. They had even helped you pick out the perfect ring for him. Without them, you would have been too overwhelmed and thought too much to make a choice.
