CHAPTER 12

MAG-IISANG LINGGO na nang sabihin ko kay Lester na gusto ko nang ipaannull ang aming kasal. Pero kahit ilang araw na ang lumipas hindi ko pa din mapasa kay Jae iyong petition.  It's hard. So hard; Every time I look at it, I almost want to back out. Almost.

Today is my Day-off, I decided to just wander around the mall and try to get everything out of my system, just for today. Kahit ngayong araw lang, I want this day to be my day. Me time. Walang iniisip na kahit ano kundi ang sarili ko lamang.;

Loose off white sleeveless top ang suot ko matched with white pants and cream colored ankle boots, I also have a peach colored sling bag, My hair in a tidy ponytail.

Nasa elevator na ako papasok ng Mall from the parking when a hand stopped the doors from closing. Bumukas muli iyong pinto ng elevator revealing a grinning boy.

"Kung sinuswerte ka nga naman!" The boy who just entered the elevator exclaimed. The boy from the Hospital "Hi, Lorraine!" He greeted me, which I returned with a curt nod. I'm impressed, tanda niya pa ako? It's been like a week? Or two? At saka madali lang naman yung encounter namin noon.

"You don't remember me, do you?" He asked, when I didn't add something "Jericho, The guy at the-"

"I know." I cut him off, lalo siyang napangiti sa sinabi ko

"You know! You remembered me then!" He winked at me, I shrugged it off. Walang epekto saakin ang pagpapacute niya. Kung iisipin, oo may itsura nga ang bata na ito pero natatakpan iyon ng dungis sa katawan; piercings on his nose, ears, eyebrows and lips, I can almost see a tattoo on his nape and he has one too at the back of his ear.

"May kasama ka?" He asked as we exited the elevator.

"Wala."

"Ako din wala.. Gusto mo tayo nalang magsama?" I looked at him, an eyebrow raised. Sasamahan niya ako? As if I'll let him! A stranger!

"Para hindi ka ma-sad" he said playfully wiggling his eyebrows, lalong napataas ang kilay ko.

"Do I Look sad?"

"Hindi naman. Mukha lang banal." He let out a laugh. Banal? "Naka all white ka e!" he added, with a finger pointing me up and down

"This isn't all white."

"weh?! White yan e!"

"my pants maybe white but my top is OFF white" I told him, emphasizing the word 'OFF'

"May white pa din" He again let out a laugh.

"Whatever.." Naglakad na ako palayo, but he is so persistent na sinundan pa din ako. Can't he just leave me alone? This is supposed to be my 'me time'!

"Bat mag isa ka? 'Di ba sabi mo may asawa ka? Asan asawa mo?" Ouch.. That hit something

"Why do you care?!" singhal ko sakanya

"Wala lang.. " saka siya nagsmile.. a boyish smile, that made me stop and stare and I don't know why

"Nainlove ka na sakin noh?"

"What?!"

"Makatitig ka kasi! Alam ko, nakakainlove ako" He let out a chuckle

"W-Whatever.. May tinga ka kasi!" palusot ko

"What?! Tinga? eh nagtoothbrush kaya ako, at di pa ako kumakain since then!"ohh..

I walked awaya from him, to a store that I know he won't be able to follow me.. Victoria's Secret's.. But boy I was wrong..

"Dito ka pala bumibili?" he asked snatching a lingerie from a rack "Try this, Bagay to sayo!" w-what?! ang manyak!

"Will you please leave me alone?"

"Nope! will not" ugh! nakakabanas na siya..

I went out of the store, then quickly walk towards a crowded part of the mall.. I'm sure I'll loose him here.. and I did..

Naglalakad lakad na ako magisa sa mall for an hour and I've bought somethings already nang nagutom ako, It's almost 12 na pala.

Since I'm craving for some Lamb chops, I decided to eat at Asunto Perdido.. It has the best Lamb chops I know..

I was seated already and waiting for my order when a very familiar couple entered the restaurant..

Lester and Lily..

I'm hoping then won't notice me, but they did..

Lily whispered something to Lester and I saw how Lester shook his head.

Now I wish that boy would come here and find me. It'll be embarrassing that I'm alone.

"L-lorraine" Lily greeted as they pass by my table

"H-hi" Magdedate sila? of course, Lorraine! Probably still celebrating the news

"M-may kasama ka?" There, the dreaded question. Am I going to tell the truth? of course! they'll eat here at pagsinabi mong meron and walang dumating mas embarrassing yun!

"A-ahm.." I was about to answer when HE came

"There you are!" I owe this boy. "Oh, you've got company" he stated ng makita niya sina Lily

"J-Jericho!" I exclaimed his name while telling him with my eyes na sumakay nalang

"Hi, I'm Jericho! Lorraine's... suitor" there I saw how Lily gasp and Lester's jaw locked

"S-suitor?" na uutal na tanong ni Lily

"A-ah, Y-yes.. s-suitor ko siya and we are having a- a d-date right now" the words came out wrong. very wrong

"A-ah.. ok, I'm Lily and this is.." before Lily can even finish her sentence I left a hand grip my arm then pulled me

"A-ano ba! L-Lester!" he just kept walking at sumunod din ako dahil kung hindi alam kong makakalad kalad ako.

We stopped sa parking lot

"L-lester.. an-anu bang problema mo?" I panted out

Bigla niyang sinuntok yung pader na ikinagulat ko at ng ibang mga dumadaan

"Fuck! Lorraine! sino yun?!" galit niyang tanong

"S-si.. Jericho.. m-manliligaw ko"

"Manliligaw?! Di pa tayo annulled and nageentertain ka na ng suitors?! Saka pano si Jason?! ha?! I thought you wanted annullment for Jason?!" galit niyang sigaw sakin.. sinuntok niya uli ang pader then I heard him curse a multiple times bago siya tumingin saakin. Nanatili akong nakatingin lang sakanya, tulala at hindi alam ang gagawin o sasabihin

"P-paano ako Lorraine?" he silently whispered na para bang bata

"A-anong paano ka Lester? May Lily kana diba?!" tumingin siya sakin, doon ko nakita ang mga luhang nagbabadyang tumulo, his eyes are full of different emotions, he cupped my face then pinagdikit ang noo namin

"I never loved her, I never loved anybody else other than you. All along it has always been you" He tenderly whisper to me, his eyes sincere

"P-pero si Lily" If it has always been me, why was he with Lily? Bakit? Why did he made me believe that he loved someone else for the past year?

"Damn.. I-I... I need to explain something..s to you.. But baby, always remember I love you and I know this probably.. Fuck! I really don't know.. just.." He look lost for words at namumutla siya, a tear fell from his eye

"I want to tell you this somewhere.. private" and the nearest private place at that time is his car.

I settled myself at the passenger seat, with him sa driver's seat. I looked at him waiting, then He took a deep breath.
