"Fern. Sit on the log with me. That's right, get up. Sit close to me. You stink. But, I fair no better. We are a sight! Smelling, looking half dead. So lost, yet we sit in a safe place. Or should I say safe for the time present.." Abby laughed, then frowned. She seriously had nothing to "laugh" about!

"Was a letter sent? Good. We must proceed, state what will and what won't happen.." Mr Reed sat back in his chair. The Holy One had been contacted, no reply at this point. But answer was expected very soon. Lucian was in more trouble than any of the Holy One's people could ever be. Not even Lucifer had ever angered the Holy One the way Lucian had.
Mr Reed rubbed his temples, frowned to himself (Pretend he was tried, crinkled his forehead for good effect) Only one thought flipped it's self through his head - Jerry. Where was she? Was she safe? Was she well away from Lucian's reach? If he ever found her, he would destroy her, serve her on his plate (And, leave her bones rattling in the wind) Lucian was out of control. He had gone beyond all ever thought he would. He had managed to infect the world.
The human race was not safe. Supernatural elements were even fighting for some form of reality. Humans didn't know all secrets, but they had been using what they believed to be useful to catch his kind. Mr Reed and his colleagues had gathered, locked ranks - Declared war. All doors were locked, windows sealed. The "war" part was code for others to arm. The "locked doors", "sealed windows" - Was a warning. Humans may get desperate, do anything to fight off their fate with Lucian. They would be no match for his kind.
But, captives had be used - If it saved them for a time.
Lucian, on the other hand - Was another story. He had a strange power, an iron-like strength. All within in The Circle knew Lucian collected them all, in fashion or another. Hell, he had even beaten and used small angels (Children of his kind) The man had no bounds. Mr Reed bit into his lip (Drew blood, hissed at himself) He slowly uncurled his stained fists.
(Where the hell are you Jerry! Where can you be?!)
Mr Reed quickly straighten himself within his tall-backed chair. He couldn't let others know of his thoughts. A few knew of his desire for Jerry, but Mr Reed still kept her and his intentions a guarded secret. Close friends agreed she could make a solid addition to the fold. But, the turning of humans was a matter to be discussed with The Circle - No whim-like wants, cause a vampire wanted it so. Jerry wasn't a "whim", she was a fully informed choice.

Geer and Bell lightly swayed in the breeze, Bell had grabbed a loose torn piece of Geer's shirt. They hung close, but a distance was still there. If anyone walked past them, Bell would release the fabric. But...Of late, no one passed them much.
"Geer? Geer?..." Bell whispered to him, she kept peeping around, her lips felt so dry. Her eyes felt like they were going pop out of her head. Geer turned his head slightly.
"Bell? Your still with me, aren't you?.." Geer did a quick eye scan to the right, to the left.
"Geer! Yes! I am here! Geer, I'm glad to hear you!.." Bell gave the fabric of his sleeve a small pull, her fingers touched Geer's hand.
"We will be fine, Bell. Remember that. Always. Say it, now.." Geer turned his head, looked right at her. Bell gave him a small pained smile, but her eyes lit up...."We will be fine, Geer.." Her little finger hooked into his. They were in a deadly position, but she had Geer. Geer knew how to survive things no one should live through, or in their case - Exist in.
"We are going to get off this tree. We are going to stop hanging from it. We are going to hide. We are going to the children..." Geer did a small nod, he been thinking long and hard. His mind had taken him back to a bad place, when he'd been alive. He had once been made to think, he should have been dead. Well - He was that now. Him and Bell had had to let things play out, to let what had happened to them - Happen. So, now they could do what they were going to do what they needed to do now.
Find the children. Find Clark and Benton. Find Ethan. Find them all.
He had once had no choices. Then he was given choices. He had been allowed to help Ethan. Ethan had shown him - No matter what happens, there's always the next step. Bell needed to be shown the next step. Geer gently unhooked their pinkie fingers (A tear slid off Bell's forehead to the ground) Geer then leans forward/up - Reached for his legs, then his ankles. He pulled at the ropes, they were too tight, he then did a sharp twist of his ankle - It broke.
Geer slowly (But, with force freed himself from the tree) He untried Bell, lifted her free from the tree. He sat her down, removed the steaks that had been stabbed into her. Colour flashed back into her face - He cupped her cheeks. Her bright blue-grey eyes looked into his (He could see blood spots, but they would quickly fade)
"Thank you, Geer..." She flopped in his hold.
Geer gently pulled her close. They were so different, yet just the same. The Nun's dirty little sin, and the Whore's fall from grace.
Geer then scooped her up into his arms, they would both recover from any injuries, his ankle was still tender but righting it's self back into place. If they had both still been in the land of the living - Things would be very different, their situation would be on the dire side of things. So, so death had been a blessing. Hanging upside had still not been a delight, but putting that all aside for now - The children! They must be taken back. And with hast.
Geer looked across the grass area.
Hector.
Geer pulled Tighter within his arms. What a sorry sight he was. Geer suddenly saw a flash of a whip, heard a crack. A shake shook his frame, but he stilled. Hector is to be saved.
Now.
