Daylight saving grace

Work the morning shift with me,

Where I'm yours in service

I want to see you glow

And color yourself golden

And to no sound of severed

Silence I shall fall asunder

Let my mind cling to the thought

of your presence and mine

Intertwined to fix our brittle physiques

Make me coffee, I'll make you tea,

I'll let you sit across from me

With nothing but a scent's ascent

Keeping our distance pure as can be

Far from last night's mess I had just cleaned.

Please, don't flip the switch just yet.

Let's have them wonder if we're open today.
