After some time passes, Joseph came down to get some breakfast with me. We had a small talk like we'd always do. Like, how's school and all. After all, I only got a day to be with my son like this.

"Dad, I have something to ask" Joseph spoke up

"Yes, what is it ?" I turned to him, sipping on my coffee

"Do you like Miss Sophia ?" he asked and I choked on my coffee.

"Wh-why did you think th-that ?" I asked between my coughings

"I mean, you seem to like it when she's around or when you're coming to pick me up. Also, you sounded so happy when she said yes earlier" he responded

"Well, you could say that" I replied as I stared into my cup of coffee

"But knowing you, maybe---"

"I'll allow it" he cuts me off even before I finished my sentence

"P-pardon ?" I looked up to him, surprised

"I said I'll allow it" he repeated

"Unlike those past girlfriends you've had, none of them were able to take care of me and I knew well they just wanted to use you. She's... Different. She genuinely cared for me, looked after me, and even treats me like a son" he said to me

"Maybe having a mother would be nice" he added

"I don't know about it. I don't think she sees me in that way" I laughed

"Then try. I really don't want to let a chance like this go" said Joseph

That's when I know, he genuinely wants her to be his mother. He has always been against me marrying anyone for 3 years already

"Do you, want her to be your mom ?" I asked

"Isn't that a given dad ?? She's really nice and loving. Not to mention, she knows how to handle kids like me. Even if I do have any younger siblings, I'm sure she'd look after all of us just fine" he replied

At this point, pretty much he really wants me to marry her

"I'll do what I could" I said to him

Guess, I'd have to spend time with her a lot... But how...?
