Ant's POV

Dec had just walked into my room with some rum. He was pouring me a glass and I started to get butterflies. I always felt weird around him, but in a good way. He said he had to tell me something.

"Weddings off. We had different interests." He stopped, "Actually we had quite the same interest for one thing. That's what cancelled it."

"What was it exactly?" I asked, curiosity burning inside of me.

He started to look nervous. "Well... Umm.... you see I'm... kinda... sort of..."

"What? You can tell me." I urged.

"Well it's just that... Uh well." He was stumbling over his words.

I had to know, his nervousness was scaring me. "Spit it out man!"

"I'm gay!" He yelled, squeezing his eyes shut. He looked so upset. I wanted to give him a hug and reassure him. But then he'd think I was weird and crazy.

Suddenly, he stood and began to leave, and for a second I thought I hurt his feelings when I yelled. But then I started to think about what he said and realized I wasn't saying anything back. He must think he lost his best friend. I grabbed his wrist and pulled him down to sit next to me on the bed.

Now everything was starting to make sense. This was why Lisa and I never seemed to click just right. "Me too." I whispered. And I knew it was true.

Dec's POV

I looked at Ant. He was still holding my wrist and I felt tingly all over. It took me a second to register what he just said. "Wait," I said, smiling uncontrollably. "You're gay too? Is that why things didn't work out with Lisa? Why didn't you tell me before?"

"Yeah, I think so, and I didn't realize until now." Ant said.

"Well let's go out and celebrate." I said pulling Ant off the bed.

"Ok. Where we going Dec? The pub?"

"Sure." I said smiling. We got in the car and Ant offered to drive. Once we got there I ordered two beers.

We clinked them together. Ant smiled at me and I smiled at him. "To coming out!" We said together.
