Slade is a evil lion who also goes by the name Darkbane. He is as ancient as Askari but unlike Askari he was cursed and this caused him to become immortal. His one goal is to kill off all the royal family of the Pride lands. He had almost succeeded 200 years ago when he killed Simba's great great great grandmother and great great great grandfather but he was unable to kill their children so the royal line continued. What nobody but Slade knows is that he is actually part of the royal line but when he didn't get to become King after his sisters passing he lost his mind. When he asked for a reason as to why he couldn't become King since he was next in line all the royal majuzi said was that he didn't deserve to be king. This rubbed Slade the wrong way because he had done everything he'd ever been told to do from lead a army against a leopard leap that was heading their way to looking after his baby sister. So when his baby sister became queen when she had no discipline it sent him over the deep end.
