"How come Ashton might be here?" I ask casually, grabbing the beer from his head and drinking some, "Muke hate him"

"He apologized or some shit like that" Calum grumbled, leaning back in the chair, "I bet it's just some ploy to get you back"

I rolled my eyes, glancing towards the window as a group of people came closer to the door. Michael rushed towards it and I sighed. "This is going to be a long night" I groaned. Calum snorted, agreeing with me as Ashton entered the room, looking for me.

"Yasmin, come get some beer" I quickly stood up, giving Calum his drink back before grasping Yasmin arm and pulling her with me.

"You do realize you can't stay away from Ashton all night, and that Calum will figure it out, right?" Yasmin told me as i bent over the esky full of alcohol, "But I don't see why that's a problem"

"Calum and I have kissed," I explained, glancing around nervously, "Several times, and if he finds out I'm kinda back together with Ashton, he'll never forgive me"

"You're what?" Michael stood in the doorway, staring at me in shock, "Blake! You kissed Cal and know you're back together with Ashton? What the hell? That's why he apologized for being a dick!"

"Look, Michael, let me explain" I frown, "Calum once told me I wasn't my type and that he would never date me, and now he's all over me because I'm single, and you know what I wearing when he first kissed me? A towel"

"So?"

"So, he's single and a horny teenager" I roll my eyes, "Put two and two together and it's pretty obvious he doesn't like me and he just needs someone to make out with"

"Blake, that's so not-" Michael paused, shaking his head, "You're making the wrong choice here, b"

"As far as I can tell, there is no choice" I tell him. Yasmin was looking on nervously, a closed beer in her hand. More people started gathering in the room and I quickly made an exit, walking into Michael's mancave. I fell down onto the couch with a groan, bringing the bottle to my lip as I took a long sip.

The door opened after several minutes and Ashton entered, closing the door behind him. "I saw you run off into here. What happened?" He questioned and sat next to me, wrapping his arm around my shoulders.

"Just a disagreement with Michael, is all" I force a smile, feeling guilty, "Nothing major. I just wanted some alone time"

Ashton nodded, staring down at the beer in his hands. "Blake, I need to tell you something. about last summer..."

I perked up, turning to face him. He sighed and ran a tired hand through his long hair. "Please, whatever you do, do not tell me this was some dare"

Ashton looked shocked as he leaned back, his eyes wide. "A dare? No, it's nothing like that. I would never do that to you, Blake. ever" I stared at him expectantly, my legs crossed. I placed my beer on the floor and leaned back, my back pressed against the soft chair. "We used to be best friends, Calum and I. Actually, the four of us were if you include Michael and Luke. anyway, I had a girlfriend, who Calum liked. Most girls would always choice Calum, but Kristy didn't. Until Calum made her-"

"So this is payback" I snorted, beginning to stand from the chair. Ashton reached for my wrist and tugged me back down, shaking his head.

"It's not. I really like you, Blake." Ashton sighed. "But Kristy picked him. I, being the naive person I am, didn't realize this until Luke finally told me. He told me on the first day back to school. Kristy and Calum had been together since the start of the holidays, B" He laughed dryly, "My best friend and my girlfriend saw me for six weeks and acted like everything was normal but little did I know that they were screwing each other behind my back"

I frowned, my hand on his upper arm softly. "I'm sorry, Ashton. I truly am. But I don't want to be in the middle of this anymore. You have to forgive Calum, or at least act civilized around him if you want to be with me"

"Tell that to him" Ashton snorted, shaking his head.

"I will" I stood from the lounge before kissing Ashton's cheek swiftly and standing up straight, "I don't see why no one could tell me that"

Ashton laughed as I left the room, smiling. I spotted Yasmin in the crowd instantly and relief flooded her face instantly as I walked over to her. "Thank God" She murmured, giving a quick glance to Calum who was standing next to her, looking just as awkward as her.

"Cal, could we talk?" I asked him, smiling sweetly at Yasmin as I tapped my foot against the floor.

"Sure, babe, what's up?" Calum beamed.

I sighed, ran a hand through my knotted hair and straightened my shoulders. "Ashton told me. About Kristy"

Calum's smile faded. "Oh really? Did he now?" When I didn't reply, he glanced up and sighed. "Look, I was stupid. It was wrong of me to do what I did, but I didn't like the fact that a girl finally picked Ashton over me. Like you're going to do. And I bet he didn't tell you the whole story"

"And what? You're going to take me away as well?" I reply, rolling my eyes. "And how do you know I'm going to pick him anyway?"

"I heard you" He looked sad, his brown eyes distant. "That night you slept at mine"

I paused. "I was half asleep and I couldn't think. But maybe, maybe I will give him a second chance"
