BLAKE

I sat on the edge of my bed, biting my thumbnails nervously. After Calum had left my room and I could move again, I locked my door and curled up into a ball at the end of my bed. Calum had been knocking on the furiously for ages before he gave up, but he still continued to say my name softly and my phone continued to vibrate, sometimes it was Calum and sometimes it was Ashton. When it got to annoying, I sighed and slowly raised from the bed, my phone in my hand as I walked towards the door. I took a deep breath, preparing myself to open the door, before yanking it open. Calum stumbled in as the door opened, his body crashing into mine.

"Oh," He quickly straightened and stared at me, looking like a deer in headlights, "Blake, you gotta know that I didn't kiss-"

"Calum," I interrupted, shaking my head. I exhaled deeply and shut my eyes softly. A moment passed before I re-opened them, and Calum was still watching me curiously, "I need a friend right now, okay? I want us to stay friends, and that won't happen if we date-"

"Yes, it will" Calum grasped my hand softly, frowning, "And you have Luke and Michael, they're your friends"

"Yes," I nodded, "They are my friends, but you? You're my best friend, cal"

Calum stepped backward, his back hitting the wall, "Blake, I like you-"

"No, you don't" I shook my head, "I was naked and you are an hormonal teenage boy, so you kissed me. You told me you would never date me once, remember?"

"Because you had a boyfriend-"

I turned around and walked back to my bed, sitting back down on the edge, "I need a friend right now, Calum. A friend only"

"What about in the future?" He asked hopefully, still standing by the door. I stared at him sadly, watching his shoulders slump. We stayed like this for a couple of minutes before he straightened up and walked over to the bed. "Okay. You need a friend, and that's what I'm going to be. What would you like to do, b?"

"Ashton came to my room the other night" I blurt, biting my lip, "And he kissed me-"

Calum was already on his feet, my phone in his hand. "Asshole," He murmured, placing the phone to his ear. I jumped up and reached for the phone, but he clasped my wrists together with his free hand, a frown on his pink lips. "Ashton?"

"Calum?"

"Leave her alone, you asshole" Calum hissed through the phone. I pulled away from him and crossed my arms, glaring at him. "You guys broke up, you need to understand that"

"I love her"

"No, you don't"

"You don't know anything"

"Don't forget last summer, Ashton. Do not forget"

He hung up quickly and raised a hand before I could question what he said. "Some things, Blake, you don't need to know, alright?"

"Calum" I frown, shaking my head, "Friends don't keep secrets"

"Yes, they do" Calum objected with a smile. He placed a hand on my arm and rubbed it gently, "Don't worry your pretty little head"

I sighed in defeat, resting my head on his shoulder softly, "It better not be bad" I tell him. His chest vibrated as he chuckled, kissing my head.

"I promise, Blake"

I fell on to the couch with a sigh, causing my mum to glance at me with a worried expression. "You okay, sweetie?" She asked, moving closer to me so she can wrap a thin arm around my shoulders. I shook my head, frowning. "What's wrong?"

"Boy's suck" I mumbled, turning to face her, "Is that why you like girls?"

My mum chuckled, shaking her head. She pushed her glasses closer to her eyes and peered at me through the lenses, "Calum or Ashton?"

"Both" I groaned, leaning my head against the couch, "Calum is keeping secrets from me and it involves Ashton and I don't know what to do"

"Ask Ashton"

"I'm not allowed to speak to him, remember?" I closed my eyes softly, "Plus, he won't tell me either, most likely"

"You never know, honey" I opened my eyes as my mum kissed my head softly and stood from the couch, leaving me alone to think about the worst case scenario. Did Ashton murder someone? Did he cheat? Did they kiss? I laughed lightly at the last one, shaking my head at the thought of Ashton and Calum kissing. I sobered and grabbed my phone from my back pocket and unlocked it, my finger hovering over Ashton's name. I took a deep breath and pressed the small phone. Ashton answered on the second ring, his voice nervous, "Blake?"

"Hi" I mumbled, my voice small and vulnerable.

"Oh thank God," Ashton sighed in relief and I could picture him smiling that beautiful smile of his, "Blake, I miss you"

"Ash," I choke. My throat felt like it was swelling up, preventing me from speaking. I closed my eyes once more and took another deep breath, "I need to know what happened between you and Calum last summer"

"Blake, no" Ashton said sternly, "I'm not telling you this"

"You want my forgiveness, don't you?" I played the guilt card, hoping it worked.

"You still won't trust me once i tell you," Ashton sighed, "I mean, you'll also hate Calum, but I'd rather you hate neither of us then hate me"

"Fine," I reply, "I'll figure it out on my own" I hang up, groaning as I threw my phone against a pillow angrily. "I'll find out" I mumble, thinking about people who would know. Then it hit me; Luke and Michael.
