Book 2 chapter 15

I put on my jewelry and put my gun in the back of my jeans before I grab my stuff and make my way downstairs.

While walking down Roman comes out of the guest room and quickly catches up to me.

"Hey" I say giving him a small smile.

He gives me a big smile back and takes my hand in his, "hey love"

I place my bag by the front door like always before we make our way to the dining room.

"Good morning" I smile at the others while greeting them.

I give them all a hug, while they greet me back.

I sit down while Roman does the same.

I grab a clementine and start to peel the skin of before I start eating it.

"Did everything go well yesterday?" Mom asks me while the other around us have started different conversations.

"Yeah, nobody got hurt and Noah adjusted pretty well when we got to Sophia." I tell her.

"That's really good. I want you to know that I'm really proud of the work you do la mia piccola farfalla" she says while giving my hand that's resting on the table a little squeeze.

"Thank you, mom. I really appreciate that." I say truthfully while I give her a kind of side hug.

"Now, I want to know what happened?" She says grinning.

I look at her in confusion.

"Oh you know what I mean. You and Roman, him staying the night over" she says wiggling her eyebrows.

A smile that I can't resist, creeps its way onto my face.

"Okay, what do you want to know?" I ask her.

"Everything."

"Okay so after making sure that Noah was okay, we went to the beach and talked for a while. Then we got back home and while I was changing, he made us dinner which I didn't know of until he gave me some. I wasn't hungry but he told me to eat because I hadn't eaten since lunch. We just talked about some weird things while eating before we went upstairs and cuddled in next to each other and fell asleep. Then this morning I woke up to work out. We talked for a while before we got up and went to the gym. We both did our own training and ended with sparing. I won by kicking his leg of the floor after he had to dodge a punch and straddled him while holding my fist so I could knock him out if it were a real fight. He flipped us over saying that he won before I did the same thing and eventually we kissed. Long story short we are dating now" I tell her smiling brightly.

She squealed really loud drawing the others' attention on us.

"Mom?!" I sort of scold her.

"What, I've been waiting two years for this to happen" she says.

"Unbelievable I swear, you're just like Amy" I tell her.

She just keeps smiling brightly, "are you happy?" She suddenly questions while looking at me a little concerned.

"Yes mom, I'm really happy. Are you?"

"Mhm yeah, I'm really happy too" she says smiling.

When we all finish eating, we take our plates back to the kitchen before we all leave to go to school.

I grab firefly's keys and my backpack before I quickly say goodbye to my family and Roman and I race to school.

Roman and I arrive at the same time.
