I took a step back while scanning them for weapons with my eyes.

By living with them, you learn after a while when someone is carrying a weapon or not.

They both had weapons, both had a gun tucked in their pants.

I quickly scanned my surroundings, looking for a weapon for me, again only looking with my eyes.

My heart started beating faster and faster, my chest growing tight, my throat closing in.

I couldn't find anything that I could use as a weapon within arm reach.

If I ran for a weapon, they could easily draw theirs faster and shoot me than I would be able to even arm myself.

I took another step back, now hitting the bottom stairs against my feet.

My breathing became uneven, the walls closing in a little, my fingertips growing numb but still shaking.

"Hey, you're alright. We're not here to hurt you. We're family friends. Best friends from Elijah and Allesandro. We've known them for their whole life....euhm...We've seen and known you too since you were a baby. Elijah gave a letter too us to give you so you wouldn't be worried and freaked out. He said something about you knowing his handwriting, so you could make sure that you're safe. He said if he had send a message, you could think that it maybe wasn't from him, maybe hacked or something." One of them quickly rambled seeing my anxious state.

They were both dressed in black. Both were muscular and tall, above 6 foot.

"Can I?" He asked, looking me in the eye before gesturing to his blazer that would have the letter in it.

I warningly nodded my head in permission, so that he could take the letter.

I observed every single move from them, like I always do with strangers.

He opened his black blazer while still making sure that I could see what his hand was taking.

He took the letter out of his pocked before showing it in the air.

He gently walked closer, holding out his hand with the letter in it.

I gently walked to him too and as soon as I could reach the letter, I snatched it out of his hands and stepped back again.

He seemed to understand what I was doing and walked back himself.

I took a last glance at the two men before opening the letter.

Hey  bambima,

First of all calm down, I know that you're probably anxious right now and on the edge of a panic attack. But take a deep breath in and out. Count to ten. Remember the exercises and take an anxiety pill.

Now those two men are Maxim and Oliver, they are no harm to you. They are childhood friends from Allesandro and me. We've known each other since we were literally in kindergarten. They are family friends, no harm. I promise, they won't hurt you.

Now why are they there and we aren't? You ask. Well we all needed to go out for some stuff with work and things, so we needed to find someone to be home with you. I know you're old enough to be home alone, but with us having a lot of money, the risk of getting attacked by others for that is higher, that's why they are there. They work with our company as bodyguards.

Every person in the family has at least two bodyguards. If you ever go out into town they will always follow you just for protection. You choose if they keep their distance or if you want them to become friends with you. Remember when we went shopping, the bodyguards. Some of them were our personal guards for each, but the others were just for more safety and stuff you don't need to worry your pretty little head about.

You were going to meet them either way as family friends. They have always been bodyguards and do now work with us and wanted to be your bodyguards. They have known you since you were a baby, were there when you were born, they love you like we do. They are like extra cousins, we all consider them as family.

Now we won't be home for another couple of hours, so you can do what you want. But make sure you eat every meal. When you're done reading this letter, I want you to go to the kitchen take your medication that I already prepared like everyday and eat your breakfast. There is also breakfast for those two imbeciles.

They both know about your mental health and physical health. I know you may not want them to know, but it's important for your safety. They also have your anxiety pills just to be sure. When you tap your bracelet 3 times, it will now notify the family, Maxim and Oliver. Now if you press it 4 times, it'll only notify Maxim and Oliver. 2 times only the family.

So
2 -> family
3 -> Family, Oliver and maxim
4 -> Oliver and Maxim
5 -> all of us and the our whole security system.

Now I need to go to work, but I love you more than anything and stay safe.

your dearest Lijah. Xx

I smiled reading the letter, the signs of the start of the panic attack subsiding.

I closed the letter and looked back up at the two men who I know now as Maxim and Oliver who both had big smiles on their faces.

I gave them one back before saying the first thing that came to my mind.

"Hey"

They both chuckled before greeting me back.

"Good morning, Miss. Hernandez"

"Hello, madam"

I let out a laugh at their answers, "you can call me Valentina or Val or some weird nickname if you want" I said feeling more at ease now with the reassurance that I got from Elijah.

They smiled agreeing too my offer.

"I'm Oliver that's Maxim" Oliver said.

Oliver was a little shorter than Maxim but not a lot just a few inches but was still above 6 foot.

"Elijah said that there is food in the kitchen for us." I said giving them a smile and nod of appreciation for the name clearing. "Want some?" I asked right after.

"Food..always" Oliver said.

"sure"

I gestured my hand in the direction to the kitchen, showing them that we could go there now.

We started walking, me at the head leading the way, even though I'm pretty sure that they know the way.

When we finally arrived to the kitchen, I felt really light headed.

I don't know if it was because I pushed myself harder this morning with working out.

Or because of taking that medication for the anxiety, maybe it needs to be used with a filled stomach.

Or because of the sudden wave of panic that I experienced.

I don't know why, but that wave of it made me see black spots.
