After a few more minutes we finally head home where I fall asleep in Roman's arms.

————

I wake up, my head throbbing in pain.

I groan as I try to sit up, everything aches.

God

I'm glad that we could save all those girls but..if I could have done it without being beaten up, I would have. I would have definitely done it without if I knew that I had to stand in front of a hundred of men almost entirely naked.

I feel someone gently push me back down on my bed, "shh get some rest. There's no need to worry." I hear someone say but can't make out who is saying it.

I don't protest and make myself comfortable before sleep takes over once more.

————

I awake again while panic fills my body.

School, I need to go to school.

I look at my clock, 12 am.

Why did nobody wake me up?

Fuck, my head hurts.

My workout, this is the first time in almost two years since I've missed a workout.

I shoot out of bed but fall back down while crying out in pain.

Gosh, what the fuck happened?

I stand back up and make my bed, biting through the pain.

I take some comfy clothes out of my closet before taking a quick shower, brushing my teeth and changing. After doing my hair rather quickly, I grab my schoolbag, coat and shoes.

I make my way downstairs and grab my keys to ride firefly.

I run out the door and jump on my bike while hearing the bodyguards at the door yell from me, but I'd already start driving away by then.

I drive to school at full speed and soon arrive.

I jump off my bike and notice it's lunch break.

I walk inside the cafeteria and walk to my brothers first.

"Why'd you guys not wake me up this morning?" I ask them softly.

"What?"

"Val, why are you here?"

...and more is being said by my brothers and now too from Roman, Amy and Atlas who saw me and made their way over to me.

"Because it's school" I say in a duh tone.

My head throbs more painfully in my head making me hold it lightly while I try to find my balance when I start losing it a little.

There's this heavy pressure behind my eyes too which makes me want to close them forever.

The bell to go to class rings, "I have to go, I'll see you guys later" I tell them softly before turning and realizing I forgot my backpack next to my bike.

I rush outside to my bike, and start to look for my bag.

"I'll call dad" is being said in the background but I don't hear it.

I notice footsteps behind me, indicating that my family and friends are following me.

Soon a car with my dad, Allesandro and Elijah arrive here in front of my school.

Most of my family members are around me just like my friends.

"What's happening?" I ask unsure while looking around confused as my headache kept growing worse and worse.

I groan in pain as I feel black spots enter my vision.

What is happening?

Why am I feeling so weird?

I sway back and forward, soon I feel someone take my hand in theirs.

I try to focus my eyes on the person's but can't.

"It hurts" I cry while gripping my head with the hand that isn't in their hold.

"I know, you need to rest for it to get better" it's a man but I can't make out who exactly.

"I can't remember-" I start but don't even know where to start.

The darkness in my eyes only grows before it feels as if the floor's been talken away under my feet and I fall.

I fall and fall until I land before everything goes dark.

Arsenio's POV.

My daughter's legs give out from beneath her so I quickly catch her in my arms before her eyes rol in the back of her head and she's out.

"Merda" I curse under my breath as I push some fallen strands of her hair behind her ear.

(Translation- shit)

I carefully place her on the ground while Elijah starts checking up on her really quick just to make sure that we don't need to go to the hospital.

He gives a nod to Allesandro who in a fast motion, picks Val up in his arms.

"She's fine. The concussion that she has caused her to forget some things while also passing out. We do need to get her medication for this, which I'll pick up on the way home" Elijah says.

I nod my head while thanking him and look back at Val to see Roman standing in front of her before giving a soft kiss on her head.

I hate to admit it, especially since I don't want anyone touching my daughter. But....

They're made for each other. I've known it from the moment they met at the hospital a few years back. I trust Roman that's why I hadn't cut his head off the second he asked us for permission to date Val.

They need each other and even if they don't recognize it now, they've loved each other for years.

I let my family take the rest of the day off of school and work if they want to, then we go back home as I call one of my men to pick firefly and Roman's bike up since he too didn't want to leave Val.

We arrive and walk inside the house, then I carry Val up to her room where she can rest more.

A few minutes after, Elijah comes home with the medication that she'll need to recover better.

Roman says he'll watch out for Val so we can leave and do some work.

Roman takes Val's hand in his while I walk out.

"Val, my love...you have to get better soon. I can't stand seeing you hurt, please." I hear Roman say in a hushed whisper as I close the door.
