She walked around behind me. —Are you gonna do it or not? I don't plan on spending the whole day here, Kid. —

I kept my eyes on the candle, focused, but it would not light up. I sighed, —I am trying, ma'am. I might be too distracted. I told you I did it this morning. —

She just rolled her eyes, as She stood next to me, looking at the candle too. —Then do it again. If you set your mind to it, you will. You can learn any spell easily. Don't use distraction as an excuse. That's pathetic. —

—Alright. But, —I frowned, and doubted for a second, but ended up looking at Her, —Don't take this as an excuse, but you have said before that I should not do things unless I gain something from it. I am not gaining anything from lighting up a candle. That might be the problem. —

Sabrina looked at me for a moment, with an unreadable expression. Then, She chuckled, —Oh, now you're taking my words literally? Do you actually need something in stake to light up a stupid candle? —

After a second, I nodded. —Maybe. —

Quickly, She summoned a dagger in Her hand and placed the sharp end behind my neck. I stood still, moving my eyes back to the candle. —Here are your stakes, Kid. I won't hurt you. But I might. You don't know. You'll only find out if you don't try to do the spell. Now, —She kneeled until She could talk next to my ear, —Light it up. —
