The king is dead.

For anybody else, this might not make sense. Maybe they would think it's a prank, or a weird art piece, or any other strange thing midgardians like to do. But the hints are obvious and the explanation is literally written on the wall, big enough for any being from the magical world to see and prepare themselves;

The king is dead, and the gates to Hell have been opened.

McCoy stumbles to the front, confusion obvious in his steps. —Uh... There must be an explanation for this... —

I sigh, pulling him back. —Don't get any closer. —

— ...Maybe volcanic activity? —

It might not be safe for them to interact with it, but I step forward, being met with an aura similar to when Sabrina would visit Hell. Interestingly enough, I have only been there once, with Her - and thanks to the privilege of being born on Midgard, I never had to struggle to break free, illegally, from Hell and its concerning state. The portal is right in front of me, though. I could easily see it for the first time in years and, on the way, find out whatever is happening inside.

But, honestly? Whatever mess goes on in Hell does not concern me.

I start leaving the room. Strange follows me with his eyes. —Star? What is this? —

—Oh, nothing, just a door to Hell. It will fix itself. —

McCoy chokes on air. The other humans have similar reactions. —The what? —

—What do you mean it will fix itself, Star? —Strange demands. —What is going on? —

—Politics in Hell are very messy, okay? —I get closer to him, —The king - Lucifer, is dead, apparently, and demons are probably taking this small window of freedom to sneak into other worlds. Maybe to cause havoc or just check them out. But the moment the next heir takes the throne, they will all be dragged back. That is, of course, if the heir keeps that law. I do not know if Sabrina's brother will, but there's a big chance. —

He raises an eyebrow, —And how soon is he gonna take the throne? —

I shrug. —Who knows. But that's none of our business. —

When I start walking out again, Strange follows me, —You're not going to leave like that. We have a problem here and it's related to your people. —

—It's not our problem. —

He frowns, —If a lot of demons start leaking into Earth and putting it in danger, it is my problem. And you're working with me, so it's your problem too. Demons are a threat. —at his last words, I cross my arms. —You know what I mean. —

I understand that when it comes to work, he - and Wong - have to be realistic, and demons really are a threat to many worlds. However, I'm here, and I have not done anything bad (yet); so who knows if demons can actually learn to live in many different worlds, creating a mutualistic relationship between Hell and other kingdoms? I am sure this one day will be possible. But, right now, especially under Lucifer's regimen, demons are too chaotic to properly do so. Maybe Sabrina's brother will allow free travel - maybe Sabrina Herself will. If that happens, I cannot wait to see Strange's reaction.

Right now I have to give Strange and Wong some assurance. I will have to go in and see Hell's mess by myself.

—Give me a few minutes. —

The portal is still there, opened, and it will not be closing any soon. Under the looks of literally everyone, I step into it, meeting the oh-so-familiar heat running through my body.
