My Dream Valentine


Valentine's Day. The day that all single people dread. I am in sixth grade and am yet to have a valentine.


I have been following this one girl, Juliet, and this year she is going to be my valentine.


Her long blonde hair, blue eyes, spunky attitude, and caring voice are enough to make a boy go crazy.


She is every sixth grade boys dream. My emotions are going crazy right now, and all I can think of is kissing her, on the cheek of course. Just once and I'll be happy. 


If only I could get her to pay attention to me than my dream might actually come true.


I'm currently sitting in fourth period math class, and am of course distracted by Juliet. Her smile sets me off and I travel into dream land.


A quick thought pops into my head for a way to get her attention; a sweet note.


'Hey. How do you get your hair to smell so beautiful?'


'Good enough', I think as I get my friends attention and watch the note slowly make its way over in Juliets direction.


A smile passes on my face as she smiles but then I notice something. The note didn't go to her. 


Another desk behind her sits Sigley, one of my friends. He acts like a like an says thank you about the note.


Seriously, I have bad luck. Can I not just have luck for once?

Today is the annual Valentine's Day dance. This calls for major planning, primping, and preparing. This is my one shot with her and I will get it right.


Stepping into the gym, I take a second to admire all of the directions. Heart balloons and candy are spread amongst the room. 


Some cheesy love song is playing as I walk over towards my friends and begin talking to them; to waste time.


At exactly 8, my dream girl arrives. Dressed in a hot pink flowery dress, she looks stunning. Her hair flows freely and her smile is wide.


Here is my chance. Wish me luck. With valentine in hand, I make my way across the room and over to the punch bowl where my lady awaits.


"Hi Juliet.", I say as I greet her with a hand shake.


She glows as she talks and I watch the way her lips move with each word. Wow. I am pathetic.


"Oh. Hi Greg."


"Happy valentine's day."


"The same to you.", I smile and I can feel my heart beat speed up. The room suddenly feels 50 degrees warmer than before.


"Um, I wanted to ask you something."


"Yes Greg?" Her angelic voice rings in my ears as I take a shot and ask the oh so important, life changing question.


"Um, wi...will you be my valentine", I ask in a shaky voice and hold out the giant valentines card.


"Of course.", she says with a wide grin. She takes the card from my hands and I watch as she reads the inside.


My face turns beat red when she looks at me with a lovely look and then it happens. Bam! She kisses my cheek. 


Valentines day wish; granted!
