Finally I get a new one shot posted! I have missed writing these. Anyway, this is a request from BlackRose1996. I hope this okay and that I don't screw anything up because I have never even hears of this Vampire Knight Stuff before.

Request: one shot between Kaname and Zero from Vampire Knight? I hope I got that right. Hehe, that rhymed :p

Star Crossed Lovers

As the click ticks by slowly on the wall, Kaname states at it deeply as if trying to make time shift faster. He couldn't wait to get out class and run off to the woods and away from all of his pathetic classmates around him. He always felt odd and almost out of place around them all.Of course he knew why, but he was just too stubborn to admit defeat.

All of the day dreams during class, missed pray because of his thoughts, golden opportunities to nail a nice girl, all down the drain because he just couldn't keep his mind off of that one person. The one person that he hated with a passion and could never think about before without wanting to be sick, until now that is.

Why the sudden change though? Why did he suddenly feel this urge to scream out to the world that he, Kuran Kaname, was attracted to Kiryuu Zero. The worst part of all of this is the fact that he isn't even gay. Kaname was in fact one of the straightest guys going to Cross Academy so why was god suddenly punishing him with these stupid thoughts and feelings.

Running a hand through his hair, Kaname let's out a loud sigh took a glance over toward the window on the far wall. The sun streams in and makes the boy in it's path seem almost angel like. The fact that that boy is Zero doesn't help matters.

Kaname needed to get Zero off of his mind and he knew just how to do that. Hunting in the woods always solved everything so when the bell finally wrung, Kaname was out of the door faster than light.

The jog through the field and imto the woods was short and Kaname was happy about this. He may be a vampire but he could be a really lazy one.

The sound of leaves crunching comes into Kaname's ears and he spins on his heels to see the one and only Zero catching up to him with a grin on his face.

"What the hell could you possibly want Zero?" Kaname's voice comes out sounding almost annoyed but on the inside he is happy.

"Just to chill out with my best bud is all." Zero chirps in a happy tone with a cheesy smile on his face. Kaname rolls his eyes and they begin walking again.

"Ha, yes, of course, because we are most definitely the nearest of friends." Sarcasm comes out of his mouth, but Zero can't help but notice the little smile pull at the corners of his mouth.

"Oh don't deny it. You know you love me." Zero pokes Kaname in the as he speaks in his goofy tone that he almost always seems to have.

"Oh yes Zero. I just love you do much that I could die." Kaname rolls his eyes and gives Zero his signature death stare. "Now would you leave me be? I come out here to be alone and hunt a bit. I'd appreciate it if you left."

"Well fine then. I'll just sit and watch." Zero has never been one for just being lazy and not acting out of control around another vampire. Heck, it was in his nature to hunt but of course he doesn't do that. He isn't that much of a hypocrite.

Kaname pinches the bring of his nose and let's out a breath of frustration.

"Urg, fine. Just do not bother me. Okay?" Zero nods and plops down on his back, leaning back against the trunk of a giant red oak.

Pushing all thoughts of Zero from his mind, Kaname set off slowly around the forest searching for an acceptable meal for the afternoon. As Kaname finds a medium sized dear he takes in his pray and gets to work trying to focus on that, and only that, but that happen.

Zero; always on Kaname's mind. This would have never happened if Zero would have just left Kaname alone. If he had never even talked to him then Kaname wouldn't be confused as hell and questioning his sexuality in the process. The biggest bitch of it all is the fact that Zero is as straight as a pole. He like girls and boobs while Kaname isn't so sure of himself anymore.

Kaname digs his teeth deeper into his prey, trying to push Zero completely out of his mind. He finishes within a few minutes and finds himself heading back in Zero's direction. When he nears, the sound of Zero's voice comes into his ear.

"No, I mean, maybe. I just don't know anymore Yuki. This is all confusing the hell out of me." Kaname stops walking and leans back against the trunk of a tree, listening intently to the conversation.

"Yes Yuki. That's a stupid question. I just don't know what to do. Should I tell him? I mean, I'm so confused but I've felt like this for him for linger than I can remember. I'm just sick of hiding it!" He pauses for a moment. "No. you know what, that's what I'll do. I'm gonna tell him. No more hiding it. I, Kiryuu Zero, am in love with Kaname." Kaname's eyes pop wide open as he hears those words come out of Zero's mouth. No f'ing way! No way can Zero like, heck love, him. He isn't even gay or bi! Or is he? Oh sweet god.

Taking a deep breath Kaname steps out of hiding and turns to face Zero with a hesitant look on his face. Zero looks up in shock and stands up quickly.

"How long have you been there?" Zero's voice clearly shows fear and shock all in once as he speaks.

Kaname shrugs his shoulders. "Long enough."

Kaname watches as Zero bites his bottom lip and cuss's under his breath. Somehow Kaname finds himself slowly getting closer to him as he waits for Zero to speak. He plans on going with his gut and just confessing everything to Zero. He really has no choice now anyway.

"Crap. Um, listen Kaname, I really don't even know how to explain this. I mean, I meant to tell you sooner but I just couldn't. I'm so-" Kaname stops him mid sentence and puts a finger to Zero's mouth.

"Shh, just stop talking already. Zero gets a weird look on his face for a moment before Kaname does the unexpected and pushes his lips to his in a rush. Zero finds himself melting into Kanames arms and almost falls from the shock of the kiss.

Their lips move together effortlessly and Kaname finds himself finally admitting the truth to himself. He too was in love with Zero and he was gay. There is no denying it anymore.

The two pull apart after a minute or so and find themselves both smiling like idiots as their foreheads rest against one another's.

"But why? You hate me." Zero beaks the silence and speaks in an almost sad voice.

"I could never hate you. You mean too much to me." Sincerity is clearly in Kaname's voice as he speaks and pulls back a little hold Zero's face in his hands.

"Really?", Zero questions.

"Yes really. I love you Zero." Zero's eyes widen as he takes in Kaname's words and he finds himself pulling Kaname in for a tight hug.

"I love you too!" Their lips meet once more and the deed is done. No more hiding their feelings anymore. Their would forever be changed now. Who knew that the two straightest boys in Cross Academy would turn out to be gay?
